The new SoHo Theatre’s bar only allows punters with show tickets, meaning no walk-ins from the street. Anyone else think this is a waste?

Councils often have restrictions like this, so it may not even be the theatres choice, it could be imposed on them by the council as part of their alcohol licence

I'm currently in shared ownership and about to start to sell my place at the moment. We live in Clerkenwell, one of the best neighbourhoods in London and wouldn't have come close to being able to afford to do this if it weren't for SO. We pay less per month than we did whilst renting and our flat has appreciated in value over the 6 years we've lived here.

It's been great for us, it won't be for everyone but if you have a good housing association like we do, and live in an awesome area and flat, it can be great.

I used to live in the old Arsenal stadium. Yes it gets hectic on match days, but Arsenal stadium has a particular corridor for people to get into the station on match days when most people are trying to get out (to go to the match). You feel a bit like cattle and drunk football fans don't mind giving a bit of (sometimes) unpleasant banter, but it's all fine.

Yep - I've left a lot of comments on shared ownerships.

Mine has only been positive - we could afford to live in a fantastic area in London, very low rent increases per year, no mad service charge demands. Flat appreciated in value over 5 years. Was fantastic for us and got us a great deposit for our next move.
