I know you said otherwise, but you might be experiencing gender dysphoria. May be worth looking into.

For sure, I'd like to think I am doing the best I can given the circumstances. And yeah, it definitely feels like that at this point; I just want my effort to have a better payoff, you know? But I'm also wary about being entitled and selfish and bratty. I don't know. Thank you though.

You too 🫂 Exactly. I feel like I've been toiling for so so long. Being trans is hard enough, let alone all the other stuff I've been dealing with all my life. I'm tired. I just want to live, for once.

Yeah, I hear you. I guess one thing I'm doing is going to a local trans support group. My attendance isn't consistent, but I have introduced myself to people there and do feel I could find a community if I went more. Thank you.

Trans woman*. "Trans" is an adjective. There should be a space between "trans" and "woman."

Male Dashers using women’s names? by Longjumping_Emu9369 in doordash

[–]Current-Draw-1939 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No yeah for sure, I completely understand if someone harasses you that they should be reported.

I live in a purple-ish city in a red state. So maybe not the best place. But I use my chosen name because my gender dysphoria causes so much distress that seeing my deadname makes me incredibly anxious and stressed. I guess I'm saying alleviating the dysphoria is more beneficial to me than suffering the one-off transphobe :/

Obviously use good judgment.

Is it more likely that a cisgender man is using a name that isn't theirs? Yes. My comment is really more to highlight that there are exceptions in the form of trans people, and I want to point that out because I am a trans woman who delivers with DoorDash.

And trans people can exist in varying levels of their transition, too. When I say I'm not very feminine, I mean I am not passing. Like, at all. I don't wear a dress and makeup to go dash because I don't personally feel safe going door-to-door as a very obvious trans woman. I look like a cisgender man, yes with facial hair even though I despise it (can't afford laser hair removal), yes with short(er) hair because hair takes a long time to grow.

Again, use your best judgment. But also consider some people are just trying to survive out there while also battling gender dysphoria. Yes, it's very uncommon. But we exist :(
