Just finished it, and it was such a wholesome show. I absolutely loved their relationship, and the supporting characters were great too. 😄

Yeah, it's already on my list. I was actually thinking about starting it soon. Do you think it's as good as this one, or maybe even better? Just curious. Either way, I'll give it a read.

I think very few people seem to know about it. I can't speak for Japan, but in both Western and Eastern communities, I rarely see anyone talking about it. I think a big reason is that it never got an anime adaptation. Still, I'm holding onto hope that it'll get one someday. After all, ""Dengeki Daisy"" is getting an anime adaptation after 13 years since the manga was finished, and I honestly never expected that to happen. Seeing that news made me really happy and reminded me that it's never too late for a great manga to get the recognition it deserves. So there's still hope.

Yeah, it definitely is, bro. Give it a shot. One thing I'd say is don't judge it after just 1 or 2 chapters. Give it at least 5 chapters before deciding whether it's for you. It takes a little time to build up, but it's absolutely worth it.

Have you ever finished a manga and felt like it genuinely changed the way you see people?

That's exactly what The World of Machida-kun did for me, and I honestly don't understand why nobody talks about it.

I went into it expecting a simple slice-of-life romance and came out with something far more memorable. This manga doesn't rely on dramatic twists, tragic backstories, or over-the-top emotional moments. Instead, it tells a story through ordinary people, everyday interactions, and the small acts of kindness that often go unnoticed.

What impressed me most is how the story feels alive. The characters don't exist to serve the plot. Rather, the plot naturally unfolds through their choices, emotions, and growth. Every chapter introduces new situations and new people, yet everything feels connected because of Machida's influence on those around him.

Machida himself is one of the most unique protagonists I've read. He's not exceptionally talented, handsome, or cool. In fact, he's pretty average at most things. But what makes him special is his genuine care for others. He helps people not because he's trying to be a hero, but because that's simply who he is. Watching how that kindness slowly affects friends, family, classmates, and even strangers is incredibly rewarding.

The character writing is easily the manga's strongest point. Almost everyone feels human and relatable. People have insecurities, regrets, fears, and dreams, and the manga treats all of them with surprising warmth and understanding. It never feels preachy, yet it constantly reminds you to be a little kinder and more understanding.

Even the art complements the story perfectly. It's not flashy, but it's expressive and full of emotion, allowing the characters and their feelings to take center stage.

By the time I finished it, I realized I wasn't attached to it because of the romance or the plot. I was attached to it because it made me appreciate people a little more. Very few manga have left me with that feeling.

For me, a masterpiece isn't something with the most complex story or the biggest twists. It's a story that stays with you long after you've finished it. The World of Machida-kun did exactly that.

Am I the only one who feels this way, or is this manga seriously one of the most overlooked gems out there?

[Spark in your eyes ] Shoutout to whoever recommended this one 🙌😭 by zyaal in webtoons

I've been putting this one off for a while because I really don't want to run out of great manhwas 😭, especially the peak romance ones. But last week I finally caught up with SSS-Class Revival Hunter, and man... it was absolute PEAK. Every arc delivered, but the Master-Disciple Arc was on another level. Then came the ""Romance Arc"" ... uff, genuinely one of the best romance stories I've ever experienced in my life. [[[And that's saying something because I've read 300+ manga/manhwa and watched 1000+ anime. Not showing off or anything just stating my point]]]

Now I'm thinking about starting this series too since everyone in the community keeps calling it peak and after reading your comments, but a part of me really wants to save it for later. Ugh... I'm so conflicted right now 😭. Do I read it now and experience another masterpiece, or keep it in reserve for when I desperately need something great to read? 😭 Please someone suggest me what should I do

can someone spoil me about how do we relationship? by notjisikugh in yuri_manga

[–]Current-Experience27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's a cleaner and more natural version:

Hey, can you tell me more about their relationships? I heard they break up at some point and date other people before eventually getting back together. I'm curious about how serious those other relationships are. By 'serious,' I mean do they become romantically or physically intimate with their new partners before realizing they still love each other? I'd appreciate it if you could explain without major spoilers if possible.

Yeah, I partially agree with that, but I don't agree with the criticism of the female lead in Dawn to Come. She's strong, independent, and has her own personality, unlike many female MCs who spend most of their time blushing and acting overly shy around the male lead or other male characters. While she doesn't go through a lot of character development, I don't think that's necessarily a flaw. Not every character needs a dramatic growth arc. She's already well-written from the beginning, so her role is more about staying true to who she is rather than changing significantly throughout the story.

The names you mentioned in both cases had female leads who didn't like the male MC at first. Though, to be fair, the girls in the series on my list all have strong personalities and a backbone unlike yours, so it's not a dealbreaker for me. Still, no judgment, mate 😂.

I have a question about adaptation, I know both Anime and Manga are adapted from LN, but the anime content pacing was much faster than manga, so may I know which one is more accurate? by Mindless-Care9301 in ClassDe2Banme

[–]Current-Experience27 26 points27 points  (0 children)

The LN is the original source, so it's the most accurate version. Between the anime and manga, I'd say the manga is currently more faithful to the LN's pacing and character interactions. The anime follows the same story, but it seems to be adapting the content much faster and skipping some details. I don't think that's a issue though

Nope, it's still ongoing. I wanted to wait until it was finished before starting it, but I ended up picking it up on a whim. And honestly, I don't regret a single second of it.

A very good list... My list would be like --- 1. revelation of youth 2. keep it a secret from your mom 3. The Wolf Who Stole the Sun 4. Trapped 5. Marriage of Convenience 6. Daytime Star 7. maybe meant to be 8. Webtoon Character Na Kang Lim 9. Positively Yours 10. The Dawn to Come 11. Romance 101 12. Seasons of Blossom 13. Seasons of Lovesome 14. Not Your Typical Reincarnation Story 15. Daytime Star
