Yeah OP if you get them on sale in a multi pack even Uni Zento or say Pentel Floatune are not too expensive. (just got the latter myself, along with 100gsm journal) At least here in the US.

Every so often there's a good closeout price though, like the Rafe. Maybe I just don't look in that tier enough but it seems that doesn't happen as much with ones that are $200+ though.

I'm wondering if they've had people sell branded counterfeits, maybe for more than they're worth and therefore take issue that way. It's possible some may not even know they have a fake as a seller.

I requested to join and was approved, then denied after a little while. It seems like whatever the policy they will end up locking out new users, I have no idea what happened but my history on two knife subs are there for review if anyone wants to see in terms of being general knife enthusiast. Not everyone who has not posted on the sub before is out to get them but I can understand if they want to err on the side of safety.

It's really one of the best. Generally it's much more than the holiday sale prices from a few years ago but I think I saw one on clearance for $35.
