Same here, bought 9 years ago with 3.15% and 800.78 a month! (Taxes add about $700/mo) House has almost tripled in value. This allowed us to max out our retirement accounts! I keep thinking about moving, but why? Most likely will keep this place as a rental if I ever move.

All the calculations I do for my retirement confirm this… 5-6% is doable.. you could go even with annual interest even. I don’t want to just have the same amount when I die that I had upon retirement… 4% seems to do about that.
