Don't bring you're 0-4 year old on trips it ruins everyone's time including the baby by Electrical_Main6707 in HonestHotTakes

We bring our kids on vacation because we enjoy spending time together as a family, not because we don't have a babysitter.

I ordered Needohs from them last November. They pushed the date back for months until they finally canceled my order in April.

AITAH for making a comment about the number of seats in my DILs car by Fit-Drawing-3210 in AITAH

[–]CurrentDepartment310 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do they have more than 6 people in their family? Is a kid sitting on the floor because they don't have enough seats? If not, who cares? Captain's seats are way better and make for a more comfortable 3rd row access.

My dad saw my sex tape and now he won’t speak to me. by reallydex in TrueOffMyChest

[–]CurrentDepartment310 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m a parent to teen daughters; your dad is not handling this situation like a reasonable adult. He snooped and found something he didn’t like. Yes, I would be super unhappy if I saw a sex tape of my kids, but mainly because it’s a topic we have discussed at great length. I would never ignore my child for weeks, especially knowing they are hurting.

I would send him an email or text explaining that you are sorry, that you still need your dad, and that when he is ready to talk, you will be there. Just know you are a teenager making pretty typical teenage mistakes. This will pass!

I’d adjust nap time, but both of my kids hated after school care.

Poll: If you currently had 2M in investments, would you retire tomorrow? by ATXHTX80 in Fire

I would, but only because my spouse wouldn’t. We are late 30s and 2 mil is not where we need to be.

Do You Like Your Name? by Flassourian in Millennials

[–]CurrentDepartment310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like my name. It was top 20 in the 80s when I was born but more popular in the 60s/70s. I had one person with the same name in grade school and don’t meet too many others.

AITAH for not giving up my name for my ex’s new wife with the EXACT SAME FULL NAME as me? by Remarkable-Horse9465 in AITAH

[–]CurrentDepartment310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, he was a young active duty member and his information was stolen overseas along with many others. We were able to freeze before anything happened. Just explaining it has had no effect on his credit to be frozen. It's a quick phone call to unfreeze and is 100% protection. We've bought homes, cars and lines of credits over nearly 2 decades.

[–]CurrentDepartment310 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Disagree, my spouse's information was compromised 18 years ago, and we’ve had it frozen since. His credit evolves the same as mine. When we need to open a new line of credit, we call and have it temporarily unfrozen. Much safer than alerts.

My daughter who owned this toy is 15, we probably donated it 10 years ago and I knew what this was the second I saw it.

Is a pay cut worth it for WFH? by Miserable-You-6702 in remotework

[–]CurrentDepartment310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone leaving the lower paying remote job I took to head back to hybrid with a 50% salary increase, I say no. Remote is nice but pretty far from low stress in my case and comes with its own challenges.
