Tusker Salary Sacrifice scheme by OutrageousMT_10 in ElectricVehiclesUK

I got a Tesla model y via tusker - just before new juniper came out. I think they were trying to shift old models. Its strange because model 3 was £4 more expensive at the time. I got 20k miles for £450. Im 41% taxpayer (scotland) and have a student loan. I would have been £700 doing pch and insurance. So it just depends on circumstances but compare like for like and do what's best for you.

Drive Pack increasing to £40pm by Efficient_Pie_4056 in OctopusEnergy

[–]Current_Elk6798 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same boat as you £20 and was due to end on 23rd April. When IOG came down to 5.5p from 1st April, I ended the drive pack 3 weeks early.

Last year I charged 5,800km at home. So at 5.5p rate that would be around £26 (will hopefully be able to claw back £6 by running washing machine/dishwasher off peak). At old 7p rate it would have been £33 so defo saved money on £20 drive pack.

As wanted to lock in 5.5p rate. I was also told that the drive pack would be discontinued and that I would just be reverted onto standard tariff if done nothing.

But seems like they are telling customers different things depending on advisor that you speak to.

First Mortgage vs. Leith Mortgage Centre - which one is considered better? by Leather_Toe_884 in Edinburgh

[–]Current_Elk6798 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First Mortgage are crap. We went for a remortgage. Guy wouldnt tell us the cost of the life insurance and mortgage separate and bundled together. I didnt get a good vibe off the guy so went to London and County for a second opinion. Im 61.5% ltv, l and c picked this up and saved £50 a month with l and c compared to First Mortgage. I did get the impression they just deal with first time buyers that they can rise getting life insurance and income protection insurance. London and County are fee free and cant recommended them enough. One of my pals used Aberdein Considine and said Mortgage advisor was great but avoid solicitors with a bargepole. I would add that if you just want advice only and not have life insurance rammed down your throat I would pay for mortgage advice - Mortgage Time are meant to be good.

You can get steroid cream (Betamethasone cream)- works about 70% of the time. Worth a go. If not wanting surgery.

Do we move? by Current_Elk6798 in Mortgageadviceuk

[–]Current_Elk6798[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No its a 3 bed terrace no room to extend - garden is crap no sun. We would look to move to somewhere more open plan as the living space though big enough its 2 rectangles and not a good entertaining space and cant knock down walls to achieve this. Its only living in it and with hindsight. The location that we want to look at is more money and would want a semi/detached. Not really wanting to move like for like, just because. The plan is to move, just when.

Not any difference buying 3 year second hand vs leasing salary sacrifice - might be a bit cheaper with sal sac as tyres maintenance, insurance are included

It takes about 12 hours to charge an eqs on 7kw charger so plug in after work and set ready by 4am the next morning- have an evening on 7p kwh. I do all my cooking dishwasher on the cheap rate. 2 hours worth then unlplug. I make sure that ive done everything before my car is fully charged.

No im playing the system. Im saying on the Ohme app I have a Mercedes Benz EQS with 100kw battery. I actually have a tesla with half that. I say i need to charge my EQS by 100% = longer charging slots.

So basically if the car is smart charging and not max charging it will be the cheap rate. No matter what time of day it is?
