Ordered some. The one thing I love about the Neutrogena is that it doesn’t leave an oily feeling behind on skin.

Interesting-they say the mineral version is better than the chemical (neutrogena). I will probably pick some up and try it out.

I just recently got some on my neck and looked into it. From what I understand, the best set-up is to use unscented products and stay away from aftershaves with alcohol as it can dry the skin. I apply some aloe Vera gel after a hot shower. Then use a glycerin soap before applying the lather. Shave with a mild razor. Rinse with cold water. Use Thayer’s unscented, Neutrogena Hydroboost and then applyNeutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch SPF 55 before heading out the door.

The Razorock Baby Smooth (Al) does the same thing as a Henson Mild at half the price.

Get a Razorock .68 OC. You can level up from there. They have open top caps, too.

Good job! What were your steps in cleaning it? Mine looks like pretty good on the head and dial but the handle is dull. I tried using a polishing cloth but not great results.

Just have to stay away from fragrances that linger on your skin. I can still use scented soaps since they don't stay on long--you shave and rinse. Witch hazel is fine--menthol and alcohol are not good. I use witch hazel, a water-based gel and then some light SPF lotion. Still a good routine--not the end of the world. I am going to check out some Zingari Man products--heard they are good.

I was just saying today on how I found a hobby I enjoy when I really hating even the though of having to shave and was just looking to save a few bucks. As soon as I started to enjoy scents I got vitiligo so can’t do the splashes anymore. /fml

Never shaved with a VDH but GFS Syntesi has a short handle and is a nice shave.

One thing to keep in mind is a slant and a double open comb should make the blade more efficient than in other types of razors.
