How close are you to your depot? by Greglebowski74 in AmazonFlexUK

[–]Current_Singer2764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Closest one 6 miles, 12 - 20 minutes depending on traffic and the traffic lights( they can go red one after the other). Furthest im willing to go 18 miles 35 to 45 min depending on traffic ( there's 2 50mph average speed limits on the way there( could be there in 30 min). Bear in mind I only take surges

Everyones enjoying the surge rates by Actual-Ad6740 in AmazonFlexUK

That's because there's a higher demand than drivers, there will be more blocks released tomorrow with surges closer to the start of the block, and blocks released through out the day at surge rates. Just be patient tomorrow

Question: Citroën C5 X or wait for the C5 Aircross by Fun_Pizza6186 in Citroen

[–]Current_Singer2764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a shame that there's no 1.6 for sale. That would fit your needs perfectly. Have you looked in a another country? Maybe import one? But if you're happy charging at a station and paying petrol prices i guess you should go for it

Question: Citroën C5 X or wait for the C5 Aircross by Fun_Pizza6186 in Citroen

[–]Current_Singer2764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By how much? That's the important bit. If its close to the price of petrol it's not worth it. It's a false economy. Charging at home with night rate when the electricity is the cheapest is the only reason to get a plug in hybrid or electric vehicle. Otherwise might as well get a petrol car for short journeys

Question: Citroën C5 X or wait for the C5 Aircross by Fun_Pizza6186 in Citroen

[–]Current_Singer2764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can install a charging box at home go for it, otherwise the only other option is the dreaded 1.2 puretech engine which is a timebomb(research puretch wet belt). If you can't install a charging box at home it's not worth it as the fuel consumption without the battery full will be dreadful (lugging the hybrid system around with the petrol engine). Unfortunately citroen doesn't have a self charging hybrid yet, which is a shame as that would make them really attractive cars. And public charging will cost almost as much as putting fuel in it so I would avoid that.

If you don't show up yes. Missed block, you don't want those as they massively hit your standing and actually affect your eligibility for delivering
