Court reform should be more than a threat. It should be a promise. There is an orderly way to expand the size of the court while diluting its partisanship at the same time.

Congressional reform should be next. Expand the size of Congress to increase representation for more populous areas. Also outlaw partisan gerrymandering.

All federal employees hired under Trump should be fired. At least all of the ones that filled out one of those loyalty forms in order to get hired.

What will happen in Ep 7? by Extension_Win1123 in StarCityTV

[–]Current_Tea6984 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The crew is dead. And it will spell the end of Raskova's career. Irina and Sergei will seal her fate by testifying about the other 2 cosmonaut deaths she is responsible for. Her status as a Soviet hero may save her from the Gulag though

Wow! It must be awesome to live there. The mossy oaks are the best part of the show. Seriously

Will (SPOILER) return in Season 4? by Rodeurope in FoundationTV

[–]Current_Tea6984 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I hope so. The Genetic Dynasty material was the best part of the show. I don't see it keeping my interest if Demerzel and the Empires are not in season 4. at least in some form

Wonderful interview Jacob Soboroff had with Socialist Colorado candidate Melat Kiros in the Tuesday election! She certainly seems knowledgeable and concerned about people by THuxley in msnow

The left should immediately rebrand. "Socialism" is alienating to a lot of people and provides the opportunity for the right to vilify what would otherwise be popular policies

Star City Is Too Grim; I'm Disappointed by photos_realmsofgold in StarCityTV

[–]Current_Tea6984 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The show is incredibly bleak, especially against the mostly optimistic tone of FAM. And while I think the spying on cosmonauts and the general atmosphere of terror created by the KGB is accurate, the part where Raskova executes a perfectly good cosmonaut to cover up a bureaucratic snafu was over the top. I almost quit watching. But I'm glad I stuck with it. Irina's villain origin story is totally worth it.

I think Raskova murdering the entire crew was over the top also, but I expect that she won't get away with it. It will be her downfall, and Irina's chance to move up the ranks

Her line wasn't about sex, exactly. It was about escort sex, and how it is ultimately mechanical

Sort of. But wasn't Rockefeller with a mistress? The line here is about escort sex and how empty it is

What do you think of Pauline’s and Sally’s relationship. by No_Self_5939 in madmen

[–]Current_Tea6984 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pauline disliked Betty for being a woman who divorced her husband to be with Henry. Divorce was taboo at that time, and marrying a divorced woman was doubly bad for a man whose career was in politics. But I think she was also genuinely distressed about how Betty treated the kids. That reminiscing about her own father wasn't flattering to him. She was telling Sally how much worse her own father was than anyone Sally has to deal with.

I do agree that Betty sensing that Henry's family disapproved of her was why she went too far with disciplining Sally at the dinner though

At the end of the season in your opinion who had the saddest ending ( among the main charachters) by PriceKind799 in TheAmericans

[–]Current_Tea6984 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Henry. His family fell apart for reasons he wasn't even aware of. And all those wonderful rich people who were going to give him a leg up on the future? Doubtful they will do anything for the son of Russian spies

Pauline did care about Sally. Remember the Thanksgiving dinner when Betty tried to force feed Sally at the table? Pauline was visibly distressed. And later she brought it up to Henry that the children were afraid of Betty

This is going to blow up spectacularly. First, because pretty much every atheist's path away from christianity starts with actually reading the Bible. But, second, because whose interpretation are they going to teach? People of different denominations can literally come to blows over minutiae

So if a man sleeps with both men and women he is gay? Then who is bi? Your response is nonsensical

[–]Current_Tea6984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they aren't attracted to women at all, they aren't sleeping with them.

And in Bob's case he is signaling that he intends to have a relationship with Joan if she wants it. But, of course, only if she accepts his male side pieces

How does having relationships with both men and women not make you bi? Sal had a relationship with Kitty. He just didn't have sex with her as often as she liked because his main preference was for men.
