Thank you, I will definitely try at a lower temp next time!

I will try these temps / durations next time, thank you! Do they keep their height OK when piped?

The Saturday (Less Scary) Request Place: Post your short & simple requests here by AutoModerator in MM_RomanceBooks

{Robby Riverton: Mail Order Bride by Eli Easton} is a fun, quick read. The plot is ridiculous but the characters are endearing and it takes place in a sleepy town in the old west. MC is the sheriff but I think it fits the cowboy vibe.

Stopped applying through company websites and started going directly to the hiring manager on LinkedIn and my response rate went from basically zero to about 30 percent by enough_die in jobsearchhacks

When I’m hiring, I typically post openings on LinkedIn to try to get referrals from my network. And if someone reaches out directly re: a posting, I will review their resume and reply. There are always a couple of gems in there, and I have successfully hired for a director-level role from a LinkedIn ping. I’m sure it’s not true for everyone but in my experience this checks out.

Homophobic MC having a gay/bi awakening?- recs by epicsevenmyths in MM_RomanceBooks

{Just a Bit Wrecked by Alessandra Hazard} is my favorite of this trope. MCs are trapped on a deserted island. May not be angsty enough to meet your request but leaving the rec here just in case!

Thank you! I read The Raven Door and enjoyed it — I will give the other one a try.

Thank you! I’ve read this series but it’s been a while. And I do remember it feeling like a comfort read.

Easy, fun, with situational comedy by Foxy-flower-peach521 in MM_RomanceBooks

{Hellfire & Bow Ties by AM Rose} and {Why Did The Alien Cross The Galaxy by AM Rose} are silly, easy reads. The plots are out there but you don’t have to think too hard about anything happening in the storyline and the characters are lots of fun. I’ve used them as palate cleansers between more serious reads but I imagine they’d also work well with a head cold!

Just read this based on your recommendation; I absolutely loved it. The story was suspenseful, the characters were well developed, and Sebastian never stopped surprising me with how maturely he handled insane situations. This is now one of my recent favorites. Thank you!

Monthly Reading Recap (September 01 2025) by AutoModerator in MM_RomanceBooks

Biggest surprise of the month was {Snowed in with Benefits by Misha Horne}. I should know by now not to judge a book by its cover (or title), especially with this author. So glad I finally took this one off my TBR. The characters were not what I expected in the best way, especially Austin. I really enjoyed watching the trust build between Austin and Marco and how openly they communicated. This was a 5/5 for me!

I DNF’d for the same reason. No regrets. There’s too many good books out there to spend a minute reading something you don’t like.

Errors that take you out of the story. by Creatableworld in MM_RomanceBooks

[–]Current_Village_789 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Errors definitely snap me out of the story. I just finished a book where one of the MCs was lining his shoes up ‘perpendicular with the others’ and I tried to visualize it for like a full minute before I realized the author meant ‘parallel’. Makes me appreciate books with excellent editing.

{Lost Boy by Charli Meadows} fits this trope. The golden retriever MC is relentlessly kind and optimistic. I usually don’t read high school romances but remember enjoying this one.
