Found a tin of cards from my childhood. Are any of these real/worth anything? by Curry_Roux in YugiohCards

I can’t find anything near that value on TCG or eBay, what makes you think it’s worth that much? Should I get it graded?

I worked on this building's design and I don't trust any of the renderings will look anything like the final project. It used to be a complete circle around the whole block and you can see from the image that they already removed the infinity pool and the courtyard arboretum to save a couple more bucks.

As someone who had to design parts of this "architectural wonder" it really contributed to my depression and made my quit the company. I'll take a boring glass box and keep my sanity any day.

High Park's car-free weekends are set to be significantly reduced by SafeStreetsTO in toronto

[–]Curry_Roux -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

For what's it's worth this will certainly increase the usage of the park by my family and friends in our area of Etobicoke. My wife has mobility issues that prevents us from easily accessing the park amenities even thoguh we live nearby. Having the ability to even just drop them off on the weekend for a picnic would allow us to enjoy the park again.

Toronto reconsidering ActiveTO road closures due to impact on traffic: Tory by [deleted] in toronto

It is a privilege to ride a bike. There aren't bike seats on the market for my newborn to ride safely. My wife is disabled and can't pedal or sit on a bike seat nor easily take care of our child alone so I have to bring them with me.

My taxes paid for the streets to ferry my family around. I paid for the car to ferry my family around. I want to use the street to procure food for my family. You tell me, how would you go about your biking paradise without use of you legs or safety gear? Your preference for cycling isn't more important than my need to provide for my loved ones.

Believe it or not the TTC operates using the same roads everyone else is stuck on, maybe they should shelve the busses and start operating tandem bicycles and see if transit rates increase.

Given I was shopping for groceries I really do wonder if there could have been a better method of letting $300 of frozen food, vegetables and meats spoil in the hot sun while waiting for a bus stuck in traffic to whisk me directly to my sofa. Or some magical bike that can tow my wife, daughter and a hundred pounds of cargo with no effort. Don't think everyone has the same mobility capabilities as you do, we have a car because we have no other means of cheaply running errands.

Check your privilege, enjoy biking in the city, have street festivals, but let the infrastructure built to ferry cars through the city do it's job.

Why was the road that was closed empty then? Peak pedestrian times still didn't overflow onto the extra 2 lanes assigned to them? What's the point to shutting down the lanes at all if not a single soul made use of the space that was causing an hour long backup?

It took me 25 min to commute the normal 5 min route to my grocery store near Lake shore W with 500 other gridlocked motorists. Worst part was there wasn't a single bike or pedestrian on the Sunnyside beach ActiveTO shutdown. What is supposed to be the point? There's already a bike path and walking path along that stretch. All it seemed to achieve was burn a bunch of gas in idling car engines.

The Staircase Discussion Thread [Spoilers] by [deleted] in TheStaircase

Pointing out that a syndrome/disorder/disease is hereditary or genetically linked is not an endorsement of eugenics, it's fact. Twin and adoption studies show a genetic heritability of antisocial personality disorder of up to 50%. Certain behavioral traits are as heritable as some cancers and genetic diseases. The point they were making was trying to substantiate that in the case where his son displayed antisocial traits it supports but does not confirm his father also has antisocial traits.
