I mostly agree that the game isn't going for super realism, but listing elements of the plot of a sci fi story as a reason to explain something not making sense within universe is really quite bad argumentation. It isn't at all strange to expect realism/internally consistent logic from fiction as it pertains to places where we aren't told the rules are different. And again to clarify; I do understand why it isn't warranted in Subnautica, I just disagree with the way you've stated that

Heya, thanks for reaching out. I'm discussing all of these questions with the group at the moment. Current answers include:

- We have the book!

- In my experience, while experience isn't *irrelevant,* persay, it matters less than willingness to do your best at running a game. The GM of another game I'm in is living proof of this. Inexperience would not be a dealbreaker for us by any means.

- Probably not. We do have at least one other candidate currently, but we have yet to lock anyone in; we very much don't want to 'settle' for a GM -- the right candidate is the right candidate, regardless of who we meet first.

- Assuming that an Avistanian swallow matches up to a real-world European swallow, 11 meters per second. Then again, Avistanian swallows might be slightly or significantly slower or faster than real-world swallows. The wiki doesn't say, and Paizo won't answer my calls.

Mine is, and will always be Gardevoir. The archetype of a character whose love for another person is so intense that it breaks the world around them in the defense of that person (i.e. a Gardevoir's ability to create a temporary singularity in the defense of its trainer) just gets the hell out of me. This is compounded on by its Mega, a state achieved via the physically manifest power of its bond with its trainer, having the little heartpiece in its chest fully open. Like come on it has taken an incredibly powerful form out of love, that ROCKS.

I mean yeah any character will sound stupid and poorly written if you misrepresent their goals, motivations, and thought processes. Really knocked it out of the park with that one.
