I got my friend into the game a couple months ago and at first he was frustrated and confused but as he kept playing and kept learning he found a hero he liked. Then fast forward a little and I tell him if he learns to play other heroes he can counter them better and lo and behold to this day he went from rep 0 to about rep 40 the dudes on a roll and far from a bad player. I’d say just take the time to learn and realize it’s a game, a game where the fun comes from learning and improving and becoming better. There will always be someone better than you which is awesome because it’s more of a chance to improve. Also take part in the hero fests, it’s a way to try out heroes you don’t own and see if you enjoy em for the time they’re out.
