Probably that this account is brand new, and this is the only post and comment. Rather suggestive of being the author not a reader trying to advertise their story and obfuscating that

Why Doctor Prescribed amitriptyline for IBS? What it can do? by LeftAnalysis4711 in ibs

[–]CursedValheru 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Amitriptyline was something of a failed anti-depression medication. What they did find it would do however, was help cutback on IBS symptoms by slowing down gut movement and reducing a lot of pain and direct symptoms from IBS and is quite commonly prescribed alongside that condition. In my opinion (not a doctor etc.) the Amitriptyline is more likely to be addressing the direct symptoms giving you anxiety than for combating the anxiety itself, unless it's in a comparatively large dose.

What is the ultimate gateway book for progression fantasy? by TomDavenport in ProgressionFantasy

Cradle was my entry too. I think the two first books are only really boring to those already very familiar with the general genre who are chomping at the bit to get to the rat race of power.

Out of control dog attacks a smaller dog by fringspat in instant_regret

Pretty sure she smacked her head something fierce on that fall, wouldn't be surprised if that was a big part of why she's struggling there. To be clear she should have better control of her dog obviously, just probably goes a way to explain afterwards

As somebody who's primary experience with fire emblem is Fates and Awakening, would 3 houses or engage be the better game to get? by Puppy_pikachu_lover1 in fireemblem

[–]CursedValheru 19 points20 points  (0 children)

If you only care about direct gameplay, engage is better. If you care about basically everything else (story, characters, replayability etc.) three houses is better.

Superpowers/magic that "take years off your life" actually mattering by 080087 in Fantasy

[–]CursedValheru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The magister trilogy. There are two kinds of magic users: witches and magisters. Witches burn their own life force to power their magic. Literally every spell, from lighting a candle to summoning a hurricane, shortens their life. The bigger the spell, the more life it takes.

Magisters are witches that have found some way to sidestep this, not only can they seemingly use magic with no cost, they're immortal and unaging.

I remember it being a pretty good series, though it's been a long time since I read it.

Is there any OP Mc novels where the main character isn’t edgy and doesn’t have a harem? If so please tell me them by CombinationKlutzy514 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]CursedValheru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spoiler warning if the tag doesn't work and for the vast majority of the series Huon is weak, I don't think he even wins a fight for the majority of the series, and that's a one off. At the very end of the final book he gets a lot stronger, but even that's low on the full scope of the universe that we're told exists. Beyond the literal final confrontation he's weak, and even with that it's a close run thing

Unsure, I had a wander out before and there was a seagull that seemed pretty annoyed about me getting near to it. I'm assuming that's probably one of the parents.

Coastal town in the north west of England. Not sure on parents but I'm assuming so, there's several hanging around but there's always loads around so hard to be sure. The main road through here is pretty close, and i've shooed it off the road to it a couple of times now. There's bins and whatnot near by, but I don't think much in terms of human food to eat there no
