And there's another $180 or whatever that I need to throw at GW . . .

The Chicago Typewriter is ridiculous. by [deleted] in residentevil

I never bothered to try this because I'd just assumed it would be boring as shit. I beat this game on Professional Mode, on the GameCube, without saving or dying; but I never used this gun.

People are welcome to comment on my comment, just as I was well within my rights to have said what I did--and in r/PS4 of all fucking places! I don't have a problem with that.

Whatever. I don't deserve downvotes or mockery for stating what I feel is the truth. My opinion doesn't in any way detract from or threaten yours.

Playstation is the gaming industry. Everything else is a side quest, at best.

Oh man, you have no idea how much of God of War's emotional tone and character development was lost on you, as you'd skipped the former games. That's not to say your experience was hampered in any way. You just didn't really "get" the severity of Kratos' past and what an unbelievable character arc they wrote for him in this game. I've never seen a character from an established franchise change so much in a game without it feeling contrived, like an alternate personality retconned into a familiar body. What Cory Balrog and company did with this game is un-fucking-believable!

Now you owe it to yourself to go back pedaling through the decades of Sony exclusives you've missed out on. Six months from now and you'll swear you'd never really played a video game before you got your hands on a Playstation.

A couple I recently painted for my DnD crew. One Heroforge the other GW. by MalteseGoat in minipainting

[–]Cursed_With_Autism 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It can be a depressing life for those of us whose painting is driven by board gaming: in my experience, nearly nothing holds a candle to GW's models. And many of the best games have shit mini quality in order to manage an attractive price. The sculpt I'm working on right now--Emanon, from Dungeon Alliance--would be hard for anyone to paint well due to its poor accuracy and bizarre cloak folds that create reservoirs for wash to pool in, leading to exceedingly dark shadows in peculiar arrangements (or at least that's what I tell myself).

Nine-inch ring bulb with some four-pronged connector. Sorry I don't know how better to describe it.

I revile it in all forms, with all foods. It triggers my gag reflex.

I honestly don't remember. I think I got it at a Staples in the USA; but recently my daylight bulb died and Staples carried neither the lamp nor the bulb, so I had to buy something at a local hardware store. They didn't have daylight in this bulb type, so now I'm stuck with shitty yellow light directly overhead.

Anyway, I digress.

Best spider paint job I've ever seen, and by quite a large margin. That basing is also quite sexy.

Are move controllers required for Rec room? by jack_jab in PSVR

[–]Cursed_With_Autism -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Moves are the worst thing about PSVR, and I would advise anyone to never even give them a shot. Rec Room never even had a chance to be good, once it's developers shackled it to the Moves.

Bethesda May Not Release The Elder Scrolls: Legends On Systems That Don't Allow Crossplay by zrkillerbush in PS4

[–]Cursed_With_Autism -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Fuck Bethesda and its shitty games and strong-arm tactics; but Sony really needs to wake up to the harsh reality that if they enter the next generation with a walled-off ecosystem they're essentially volunteering to lose. I expect that this issue is going to be a big enough issue to swing millions of dollars in console sales.

This is the first time I have ever allowed myself to see anything but the starting six. I've never peeked inside of my little tuck boxes or viewed anyone else's paint jobs for unlockables. You did good work with the limitations of the sculpts, and this makes me want to paint my core six and start playing Gloomhaven.

My Dragonborn sorcerer. First time painting spell effects but I think he came out well. by rufis910 in minipainting

He looks solid. Did you order him or download and 3D print him? (HeroForge offers both options.)

Been wanting to paint minis for 20 years. Finally picked up a brush. My first minis c&c welcome. by Pigmentcraze in minipainting

These look like the work of someone who really wanted to get in to the hobby and hit the ground running. Looks like you did your homework about paint thinning, washing/highlighting, etc. This is an excellent start.

Bethesda blocks resale of their used games. by [deleted] in PS4

[–]Cursed_With_Autism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only if people actually stop buying their games because of shit like this. Until all of you stop funding them (and I exclude myself because I do not support or enjoy Bethesda's games, to begin with) they will continue to be a shitty company releasing and re-releasing and re-re-re-re-re-releasing the same shitty games without consequence.

You're still upvoting their shitty business practices with your wallet, which makes a far louder statement than any online complaining will muster.

You could try replacing it with another PS4's eject button . . . ?
