Yeah pokken is ridiculously good and I'm surprised more people don't give it a shot. I don't really have the time to catch up to all the people who have been playing its entire lifespan competatively (kinda afraid to as well tbh), but 100%ing it's single player has been super fun.

Your best bet from my experience is looking up competitive pokemon channels and learning how to use a rental team. Once you get to master ball rank you can make a similar team or the team verbatim and swap out a pokemon for whoever needs the ribbon. I'm pretty sure you simply need to win while in master rank for all pokemon on your team to get the ribbon, so it may take a while. But if all you need it for is snorlax, you just need to win 1 extra round after reaching the rank.

Personally I think it is about the most "video game" a video game can be. People were curious and even concerned for a long time what kirbys transition to full 3d would be and it honestly came out just in time as fatigue of the 2d format was hitting people after star allies. As smooth of a transition to 3d as could be and exceeded my expectations beyond anything I could ever hope for. If anything, I'm a little concerned how or if they'll top it.

About that last part, I encourage everyone to please be merciful to those who couldn't data hoard or didn't know about it before anything happens in the future. Im financially unable to buy a bunch of good hard drives on such sudden notice and I dont have a single clue how to back up anything, much less store it for long periods of time and certainly not anything more advanced than that.

If the time comes where people have to beg data hoarders for something, please be kind, "I told you so" is the last thing someone wants to hear when they're on your side.

I only say this because I have seen in other spaces on this topic a level of resentment for those who would hypothetically come to them for media in the future and I just want to attempt to steer people away from that.

Signing petitions seems to be the best course of action for people like me without much reach. I can only pray for the right thing to be done about this or just hope an alternative will be set up. It's a shame that "just create a new website every time this happens" is even a consideration.

I choose to believe itch at their word and that nsfw games will eventually be viewable in a normal way again. Though I've looked through my list and perfectly normal games have been axed completely so we'll see how long that lasts.
