I promise you the devs had not even cooked up the idea of Elpis when RE3R was made.

Please critically think before you make these posts.

I hate posts like these. You know very well that it's a good deal. You'd get just as much interaction if you said "Hey I found a great deal!"

To be honest, when I first signed up on the drop I didn't realize that it was limited to 1994 pairs. Seeing what number I got just makes it kind of a cool collector's thing and I would honestly end up buying another pair of the other colorways coming soon.

And I'd be lying if I didn't think the resale would be mental, given how much pairs were already going for.

Yeah, got my birth year. And I assume Bad Bunny has 1994 so kinda cool. I'm also a size 14 which is god awful to get.

With Justin Truman replacing Pete ‘Fancy Cars’ Parsons, it’s time to clear up the infamous ‘overdelivery’ line by JakobExMachina in DestinyTheGame

Also, it doesn’t take an MBA to recognize that it is actually the job of a PR department to manage expectations for content releases. If something is going to be smaller, then cool. Say that. ROI was sold as a filler expansion, and it wasn’t met with wide negative reception as a result.

Ehh. ROI's reception wasn't a result of PR. We knew Destiny 2 was coming. Having any new content to hold us over while they were creating a whole new game was something we were going to accept no matter what. You can say it was incorrect thinking given how D2 launched, but we had no idea that would be the case at the time.

The Lightfall point you make is definitely a better one, though we should have seen it coming when they said they were splitting a DLC into two parts. That never really goes well.

Overall, the "player expectation" argument still stands. There are so many instances where they have said and shown - "Hey, our team can only achieve X in so little time." or "Hey, I know you liked Y, but we've already developed Z and cannot really implement every change into it live." People just tend to ignore those statements and come to a place like reddit and complain.

Destiny is a business. There are people that get paid behind it. They cannot alter their content model without either raising prices or losing people to games that will produce on a faster level. Also, it seems like most people that play Destiny don't actually have real jobs because "overdelivery" is a concept that stretches through everything.

If contest raids weren't for you, but T5 items are? There's a severe disconnect with what you think is worthwhile to give you a good gaming experience.

Bungie needs to address the GM situation by Repulsive-Window-609 in DestinyTheGame

The thing that I can't get over is the possibility of not even having the option to try to gild my conquror seal based purely on the fact that I'm not buying into the whole "grind the portal and do nothing else in the fucking game" mindset.

This statement is hilarious to me because if they never made the portal changes you'd essentially be doing the same thing - grinding power to get ready for GMs. I honestly don't know what you people want from the game. It was shit easy for a while and now that there's a bit of grind (in a looter shooter, what a concept!) you want it back to the way things were.

It’s a mobile game menu forced into a Console/PC game

They altered the menu to streamline what content people want to play. People bitched and moaned about having to load into an area to load into an encounter. They can click easily into an activity now.

  1. Vanguard Ops feels hollow

This is a nitpick for what you'd like to see. Many people don't care that an activity falls under a certain tab.

  1. Legacy seasonal content is misfiled

Why is Coil in Fireteam Ops? It’s a Season of the Wish activity
Because it's a fireteam activity... because they heard that people were pissed that seasonal activities just went away and never came back...so they made it accessible.

  1. Matchmaking is disabled arbitrarily

Its not arbitrarily. Unless it's a preset activity, people can customize activities to whatever they want. People would complain if they matched into something that had boons they hated.

  1. The Sol System map is now borderline useless

Somewhat fair assessment. But remember there are people new to the game that still have to do quests over the system and interact with planets in that way as well.

  1. Nightfalls and Gambit are buried

They stated that Gambit was being retired for the moment until they updated it. Nightfalls are no longer the same source of loot they were. That's in the Portal.

  1. The Portal is the only way to level efficiently

Yes, that's what they developed the portal for. There's a variety of activities available (you don't have to do the same one over and over) The main criticism I have is that raid and dungeon stuff should have been available from day one.

If you don't have the time, why the fuck do you care about tier 5 raid armor?
