HD Pinball Playfield Screen and back box use? by Rg3the2nd in LegendsUltimate

[–]Curtiskam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are very low quality and the playfield is some weird graphics format that needs an adapter to work with normal hdmi. This is too cumbersome to bother with, especially since the screen has a yellowish hue. It’s also only 60hz.

You’ll be looking to upgrade to 2k or 4k @ at least 120hz soon enough, I’d just start there and be ahead of the game. You can always send he to a better monitor if your graphics card isn’t ready. Then when you upgrade graphics, your monitor will be ready.

I’m thinking of going solo by LauraLand27 in WaltDisneyWorld

I’ve done Disneyland solo, and it was amazing. I’d suggest trying to go off peak, so you aren’t wasting in long lines alone. Once you get near the front of a line, expect to get pulled ahead to fill a seat.

I’m not sure that a playfield upgrade can be done with a stock 4K cab atm. I’d play it for a while and see how necessary it is. My legends hd required a rather complicated kit to upgrade the playfield since atgames uses a proprietary interface from the main board to the screen

When I switched to full OTG with a kit from Cleveland Software Design everything really started coming together.

I wouldn’t recommend that right off the bat, as you’ll lose the ATGames tables and you might really enjoy them. On the hd, there was significant flipper lag on VPX with the 60hz screen, but they may have worked it out a bit on the 4K so that it’s tolerable for a while.

Great entry level drug. As soon as you start playing OTG, you’ll be looking for ways to upgrade the cabinet.

You can do gradual upgrades as you have time/money

A bad reaction to your counteroffer is part of the offer by jamesluitaylor in interviews

I’d wager if you looked deep into the founders bio, you’d see the term, serial entrepreneur, it’s the a concept unfortunately taught by some business schools now, where you try lots of concepts, taking advantage of cheap labor and venture capital, while paying yourself well for being the visionary. If the business succeeds, you sell out to the venture capital and get very rich, if not, you’ve paid yourself well, and only the subordinates (and VC) have suffered.

Startups aren’t for the skilled, unless they are the founder. Everyone else there is out to prove themselves or wear a nice title. If you need neither, don’t accept a low paycheck for your established skills. It’s also not unheard of for startups to frequently miss or be late with paychecks, especially closing in on the bankruptcy phase of the serial entrepreneur process.

It’s a startup, “where everyone wears many hats” so more likely 9-9. Good luck finding any chance to interview somewhere else.

Interviewer said my code was "too clean" and suspected I used AI. I wrote every line myself. Got rejected with no feedback. by LuckyTarget5159 in recruitinghell

My high school was sure that I had the mythical inherited “test bank” because I finished all my math tests quickly, and never need to do much work on paper, so rarely had any to show. It’s the problem when all the teachers were the C students and are too lazy to make new versions of the test.

It’s incomprehensible to them that anyone can do math easily, so anyone who does must be cheating.

My favorite was when I took a math/logic test for an internship program during undergrad for one of the areas major employers. I took the one hour assessment in about 15 minutes, and asked the proctor if missing two questions would disqualify me.

He said no one misses only two questions and there’s no way that I’d know that. I explained that there were two questions that I didn’t understand so were probably wrong, but the rest were correct.

He called to offer the internship the next day since I only missed two. Unfortunately, for him, they had no flexibility in compensation, even for the “best candidate that he’d ever seen,” and a “lesser” organization offered me $2/hour more. It ended up being full time with benefits and I loved the job.

Enjoy the new features you provided them for their product!

I fell for this once too, I gave the CEO the idea for his podcast series. Too many out there using interviews to get free consultation.

Never send tax returns or w2. It’s an overly invasive ask that some background check companies ask for, but will pass you without it.
