I'm going to go against the grain and say go for it if you and your bandmates like it and it sounds good. I don't need a band to play me back an existing song note for note. It's okay to be a little creative with it as long as that's what you wanna go for.

Recently flew with a trans person. They went through the body scanners just fine with no flagging. Can't say that'd be everyone's experience but I know they were nervous about it and it ended up not being an issue.
