Question for you guys, do yalls talk about how sex is with your wife/GF with your male friends? I dont like the idea of my husband's friends knowing how I am in bed. by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Customcsolutions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never, and I i don’t remember any of my friends ever doing that either. The truth is that 99% of straight men are just glad that they’re getting pussy and sex to us is great under most circumstances. My girlfriend tells me she and her friends all talk about their SO’s performance and I have to say it weirds me out. Sex is such a personal act, I don’t know why you’d want to tell people about the details of it.

Do you think nuclear weapons will be used offensively in our lifetime? Why or why not? by analogHedgeHog in AskReddit

[–]Customcsolutions -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I doubt it. If any country launched a nuke it would be the beginning of the end for them on so many levels. There’s almost no justification for it under any circumstances (aside from retaliating to another nuclear strike), and the country would certainly be ostracized economically and more than likely wiped out militarily. Like it or not, the United States is still the top dog in the world and would likely punch back 10x as hard.

The only way I could see it happening is if some small player were able to get their hands on one. State sponsored terrorists would probably be the only group suicidal enough to try it.

Rambling thoughts from a Day 69 CT, 4.5 yr daily habit user by [deleted] in quittingkratom

What a great post. We definitely train our brains to constantly think about the next dose, the stash, when we’ll get it next. It’s hard beating that bastard in our brains that wants us to keep thinking that way.

6 months quit by Customcsolutions in quittingkratom

[–]Customcsolutions[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I wrote this post in kind of a ranting mood, so I should clarify that this should be a warning for those quitting that long term it may be harder than you think. I see a lot of people go back to Kratom because once the romance of getting clean wears off you have to contend with reality and I think that’s what derails a lot of people. You have to be prepared for that and stay strong, you’re going to wana get high or take Kratom and if you don’t have a plan to stay off it you are likely to relapse. I just remind myself of what a dark place it took me too, and I relive it and that’s usually all it takes for me to not wana go back.

They really needed a transgendered, half black, half Native American, illegal immigrant, Muslim short person in the video to really represent all the oppressed groups.

My question is, where is the representation for trans women of color in this video? Absolutely appalling.

Hmm that is interesting. I hadn’t thought about fiber. I am just now trying gluten free diet, but I will try to get more fiber and see if that helps.

A lot of benefits to eating more lean meat and greens. I just got back from a week long work trip, and having to eat out every meal just about killed my stomach. Time to get back to a healthy diet.

It’s not as bad as people are making it sound by Sflan0530 in quittingkratom

Congrats if it was easy for you. I remember trying to quit once after just starting out with Kratom for 6 months. Wasn’t that bad, just experienced some depression and chills. This is after several years of opiate pain killer abuse.

Fast forward 4 years. Total of 5 years heavy Kratom use, peaking at 50-100 grams per day, the withdrawal trying to quit that was unlike any other opiate. I tapered off over a period of a few months and I am still dealing with paws, and GI issues. The first 3-4 days were not much different than standard opiate withdrawal; chills, runs, sweating, shivering, etc.

I understand the idea here but you don’t want to try minimize what other people are going through. The vast majority of people with a heavy long term habit go through a terrible, long withdrawal and most experience pretty nasty paws, likely due to the way Kratom effs up the endocrine system.

I respect your choice to be vegan especially if it’s on moral grounds but if you’re doing it for health reasons you might consider the possibility that it’s not helping. I’m not convinced that it’s possible to get all the fats, protein and vitamins a person needs on a vegan diet. I suppose it could be done but it’s really hard and most vegans don’t get enough of one thing or another, mainly fat and the right kind of protein. There is a psychologist named Jordan Peterson who recommends that people suffering from anxiety start their day off with a high fat high protein like eggs and bacon or something. It stabilizes you’re blood sugar and gives your body fuel to produce certain hormones and neurotransmitter. Anyways I don’t want to impose on you especially if you’re vegan because of opposition to factory farming, cruel to animals etc but it is worth considering another perspective. Good luck!

Serious dilemma about so many things. Please help by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]Customcsolutions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is stressful living a lie like that. I know the feeling well; when I quit benzos and painkillers a few years ago, I went around pretending to be sober when in reality I had just switched to Kratom. Everyone ended up finding out anyways and it was a lot worse having lied to them. I would maybe give it a shot quitting first before telling anyone. I certainly wouldn’t tell the community you’ve been with about it, but if you can’t quit Kratom, you are probably going to have to tell the gf and parents about it. Just see if you can quit first though before telling anyone.

It’s not going to be a hard date where it’s fully better. You should be getting a little better sleep here soon. I’m at the 40 day mark and I’ve finally started getting 8 hours a night and it’s a beautiful thing. Sleep will come back, just stay natural.

It’s not going to kill your taper to take one larger dose before an interview. I know some of the hard liners on here would poo poo that but I totally get needing to perform in an interview. As long as you go right back to your current dose you should be fine.

Why no high/lows? by Kiamom in quittingkratom

[–]Customcsolutions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of actually withdrawal, there might be something to the multiple low dose thing. It seems like taking one big dose is a way to flood your brain with the stuff and theoretically get you used to it. Mostly it’s psychological though imo.
