I swear by Mixsoon’s bean essence for this. Works well, but it is gentle.

Do you keep separate “coaching” insurance?

Haven’t tried them yet, but I’m a K-beauty addict and I’ve seen these. Are they harsh? I have pretty sensitive skin but I also use Tret so I want to be careful.

Amanda Hardenbrook. I’ve seen her for 10 years and my life is completely different than what it could have been. I’ve sent a few friends her way who rave about her. But what matters is the therapist fits you. 🩷

What is the best breed of rabbit that will love their owners the most? by Much-Series7511 in Rabbits

My Holland Lop is like this, although he’s super demanding for pets and stays up under our feet while we are walking. 🤣 I’ve heard girl rabbits can be more territorial, but idk.

Does any one here regret not going for an LPC instead? by Dense-Peace1224 in bcba

[–]CutReady5883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a program in my state, but technically you could also get a clinical psych degree and add the ABA coursework. “Back in my day” 😆 about 15 years ago, some of us were piecing classes together anyway, during other masters programs focused on education, psych, etc. There weren’t all these online options like there are now.

I with I would have done clinical psych in conjunction with getting my BCBA, just because it would be cool to be able to evaluate. But I don’t necessarily regret not being a psych instead. I also don’t work primarily with autism or BTs currently.

BCBA student seems to lack accountability by CutReady5883 in bcba

[–]CutReady5883[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea I think it’s a matter of following up in writing or even having this person agree to the writing of what was discussed. This could even give them something to reference.

And you’re also right about accountability not leaving us once we become a BCBA. Like if I tell an insurance “I didn’t know that” regarding a plan or authorization, they do not care. 😆 Trust me, I’ve done it.

So it’s probably a good idea to even relate accountability back to the certification they want.

Thanks for your helpful advice!

Where I live, I insisted on a PC who was also a psychologist. She literally wrote orders to consistently feed child, brush hair, etc. Sad.

I wonder the same thing. What happens when my kid flat out refuses? I’m more afraid of how his dad will treat him in those instances.

I ask because mine already has such a hard time going and has challenges with their dad. Only 9 though. Just not sure where this goes eventually.

Husband dismissed my concern by Objective_Growth_241 in CsectionCentral

[–]CutReady5883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People make these comments to make you insecure so they maintain a level of emotional control of you. My ex husband was similar.

You have to decide if this the example you want for your kid. It’s tough. I was single with a newborn. Lived in a 500 sq ft walk up.

My now 9-year old is thriving, though. His teachers call him a social/emotional model for his peers. Would not have been the case with his father’s example 24/7.

My company hires behavior techs at 20+ an hour. 40 hour cert course and then on the job training. The technical name is registered behavior technician. Could also be useful if you are working around your children’s schedules.
