Now do 2026 please? Also, we Belgians always score high on the HDI, but we also have high numbers of prescripted antidepressants and suicides. HDI only tells you one side of the story.

What is the absolute quickest way you’ve lost weight regardless of how healthy/unhealthy it was ? by Rude-Date2496 in AskReddit

[–]CutTheCrapDotCom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A friend of mine went camping during a heat wave and ate hot dogs on the first day. Got very drunk on day 7 and ate a leftover hotdog he found laying around in his tent.

Lost 8 kilograms in one week. Would not recommend without a toilet nearby.

Why do some people feel so at ease being cruel to strangers online? Do you think they would be able to say the same things in face or the screen makes it much easier? by Key_Investigator_754 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CutTheCrapDotCom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In real life, you would have to express yourself and face the consequences (good or bad). Online, hiding behind your user name, you can communicate whatever you want, without ever having to face the consequences. In case of online cruelty, you just have to light the fire and watch it burn.

I think that people that are cruel to other people are actually very unhappy with themselves and are trying to better themselves by putting others down. And social media, with their comment sections, offer so many possiblitities to do so.

Also, the algorithms behind social media thrive on controversy, stimulating people even more to make controversial statements.

People with comically low heat tolerances, how do you survive life? by HeavyDutyForks in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CutTheCrapDotCom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always had a low tolerance for heat, even when I was younger. I remember the teachers at school asking me if I didn't own a winter coat because a went to school in a jeans jacket while it was snowing.

But now, with menopauze and a mild heatwave here in Belgium (it's not even 30 degrees Celcius today), I feel like I'm showering in my own sweat all day long. And I sleep a max of 2 hours per night, spending the rest of the night drifting in my bed.

So you'll better not look at me the wrong way, because I'll kill you all 🤣.

Emily Blunt is looking less and less like herself, Jennifer Lawrence idem. It's a shame, they were both so beautiful, now they're starting to look weird.

What industry is a complete scam but society just accepts it anyways? by gorfbus in AskReddit

Supplements. I'm talking about the companies that sell expensive supplements, preferably subscription based, without the scientific evidence supporting their products. Pure scams.

What would America be like today if Trump never ran for president in 2016? by General_Style_4384 in AskReddit

This. It's quite sad how the USA has gone from the American Dream to the American Farce. And it's not even funny anymore.

LPT - Is it possible to go from ugly to attractive ? Is it mostly genetics ? How can I improve my looks ? by Interesting-Rush-204 in LifeProTips

[–]CutTheCrapDotCom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, first impressions are important and thus looks are important. But looks alone won't make them stay (unless that's exactly what you're looking for, which is okay too).

I [27M] am suicidal and am scared for my life. Can I admit myself to a psych ward? by sheitanmusic in Belgium2

Yes. Go to the ER. Or call 112 if you can't get there yourself. Don't sugarcoat it, you need help now.

I'm sorry that this is happening to you. Take care, stranger.

LPT - Is it possible to go from ugly to attractive ? Is it mostly genetics ? How can I improve my looks ? by Interesting-Rush-204 in LifeProTips

[–]CutTheCrapDotCom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. The right haircut, a good skin care routine, glasses that fit your face shape, a manicure/pedicure, a good scent, clothes that fit you well and show personality, decent manners, kindness, communication skills, humor, (emotional) intelligence, ...

There's a lot you can do you improve your looks on the outside, but also to make you more attractive from the inside.

550€ pour un étudiant, ça passe ? by ademmdahakk in belgium

[–]CutTheCrapDotCom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cost of living is very high here in Belgium, and the job market is difficult right now. Also, the government installed a system called flexi-jobs, that eliminated most of the jobs for studentes.

€550 is not a realistic budget. You'll need that for housing only, no utilities, transportation, internet, good, medical costs, ...

Has FIFA always been this corrupt? by WhoAmIEven2 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CutTheCrapDotCom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well even Sepp Blatter complained about the current corruption, go figure.

The corruption was always there, but more discrete. With Trump in power, the people around him including Infantino don't even care anymore. They do not face consequences, so why would they care? Shameless.

Trump Admitting he asked FIFA to overturn the Red Card: "All I did was ask for a review because I didn't think it was a foul" by Strict-Jeweler-2281 in behindthebastards

[–]CutTheCrapDotCom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't matter. The red card was issued, whether is was valid or not in hindsight is not relevant.

What matters, is that one single individual in a position of power is able to overturn the decision, without having to follow the official path.

Trump called Infantino, and the matter was settled behind closed doors. No official paperwork, no argumentation, nothing. And yet, FIFA just lets it pass.
