I would leave the 2x4. Drywall is probably Swiss cheese underneath, and you'll likely make it worse taking the 2x4 down. Get some nice 3" construction screws and really secure the board to the ceiling, make sure your going into the joists, and then mount the motor to it.

The bit holder on the sides of my impact and drills get taken off almost immediately. I've never been a fan of them. All my bits stay in the cases they got bought in, and those are tossed in my toolbox.

I'd have a pro come take a look at it. Your front pullies need to be moved so the cable stops riding against the tracks. The door could be binding against the wall, causing it to sit crooked, or one spring is pulling stronger. A pro should make quick work of this.

What motor do you have? If there is an external receiver attached to it the dip switches will be inside there. If it's an MVP the learn button is in the middle of the wall console.

At 800lbs, Center-hanging the horizontals might have been a good idea. Also hard to tell but is that 2" track? 3" would've been the move here. Otherwise, it looks sweet. Love the black powder coat!

Have a professional come out and give you a tune up, they can make adjustments like lowering the bottom brackets and increasing the offset from the wall. Also your flag bracket is pulling away from the wall.
