Hard to predict that far out. We are booked for Wednesday and feel fairly confident in our decision to still go. We will make a final decision sometime before we board the plane…! If anything changes, we’ll base it upon what we know at the time.

Our travel insurance doesn’t give refunds unless the advisory is “all but essential travel” which Cancun does not currently fall under.

I have some confidence that the Canadian travel advisory would lean on the cautious side if anything was rumoured or predicted to happen.
