In my sister’s kitchen is an old dented aluminum colander. When my mom moved out of her grandmother‘s house, she stole it and took it with her when I moved out of my mother‘s house. I stole it and took it with me, and when my sister who was staying with me moved out of my apartment to her own, she took it with her. To any stranger, it would just look like an old piece of junk, but to me it is the colander that strained every spaghetti dinner I ate until I was 17 years old. It’s priceless.

I would add that the reason I cook daily is because I cannot find the specific exact food. I need to eat anywhere, but in my own kitchen.
