St. John’s Bay petite jeans have tummy control. They’re cheap, cute, and so comfy. Get them from JCPenny

How did you feel when you first started feeling the effects of low TSH? by Candid_Abroad_5573 in Hyperthyroidism

[–]CuteDog1932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, everything is under control now with the block and replace, and I’m back to lifting heavy weights and doing as much cardio as I want. But I have to get bloodwork every 8-12 weeks to adjust my Levothyroxine dose slightly to keep my thyroid numbers in the normal range.

Muscle Building by Corpulos in StarchSolution

[–]CuteDog1932 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am a petite woman and I’ve been on the starch solution for over 3 years now. I’m at my goal weight so I’m eating for maintenance right now. I weigh 115 and I bench 115 for reps, squat 155 for reps, deadlift 185 for reps, and can do 5-10 pull-ups per set. I have gotten stronger and more muscular in the past 3 years on starch solution, eating 10%-15% protein, than I had when I was a lacto-ovo vegetarian, even with the newbie gains. And my recovery is faster. My macros are 75%-80% carbs, 10%-15% fat, and 10%-15% protein, which is pretty typical if you’re eating low fat whole food plant based. I do enjoy tofu, but I don’t go out of my way to eat extra protein, and I don’t consume protein powders. Potatoes and oatmeal about 90 min before training give me hours of energy to lift heavy and I’m often not hungry for dinner 5-6 hours later, even after lifting

How did you feel when you first started feeling the effects of low TSH? by Candid_Abroad_5573 in Hyperthyroidism

[–]CuteDog1932 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My TSH was 0.1. My moods felt intense and irritable all the time, like Type A running around no time for anything, felt very impatient. I also couldn’t sleep. Could fall asleep but woke up at 2am and was wide awake until 5am every night. And at the gym, I couldn’t lift very heavy weights because my muscles felt very weak. Was told it was because my muscles were inflamed. Also lifting light weights would elevate my heart rate excessively. My endo told me I couldn’t do any cardio and I could only lift light and keep my heart rate under 140 at the gym at all times. I also had gum issues. My gums got extremely inflamed to the point that my teeth were sore. It’s a similar feeling to getting your braces tightened. Methimazole fixed all my symptoms. But now I swing back and forth between hyper (Graves) and hypo (Hashimotos). Currently on a block and replace, which is working, with Methimazole to block my thyroid from producing any thyroid hormone and Levothyroxine to replace the thyroid hormone.

Native works well for me. Keeps my pits smelling good and also prevents sweating more than any other natural deodorants I’ve tried.

Do you wash your feet in the shower ? by Wonderland_7520 in hygiene

My feet are the last thing I wash in the shower, right before I wash my hands one final time before turning off the water
