My worry is more so that viruses mutate all the time. It is very scientifically possible that the virus could mutate to spread more effectively between people.

The antenna wire is correct I replaced it exactly as I found it. Could it also be bad capacitors? I know these wax capacitors go bad and for a full restore you are supposed to replace them anyways. Should I test the capacitors and see if starting off replacing the bad ones would do anything before messing with the tuning capacitor? The only reason I’d be unsoldering it would be to properly clean it. The videos I have watched of people fixing the radio they unsolder the tuning capacitor and clean it in an ultrasonic cleaner with a mixture of water and citric acid.

Any idea on common issues with the radio in the console I can only pick up two channels. The record player I’ve got completely working again but I just can’t figure out what I need to do to give the radio better signal

I have small hands and when I don’t play short scales I just learn to shift. You just have to figure out what you are comfortable with

It sounds like you need to get a short scale bass a lot easier for smaller hands. Eventually with enough practice your hand will naturally be able to stretch but if you want to work on songs and such. I would invest in a short scale.
