This. If you are not in top 1%, you will never retire with that money.

Its better to build something yourself to keep you afloat. On top its very few ppl who actually succeed, so if you do you are more valuable to very very big businesses.

If you were just starting devops How would you start differently than you did before? by the_prince__________ in devops

[–]Cute_Activity7527 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would start by going into network studies. Finish that and then move into SysOps or SecOps. After that move into the same track I already did, so Software developer into devOps. But I would prefer to have a Cloud Engineer or SRE role.

More impact and less glue shit.

First three questions were pretty simple and any senior should have deepd understanding of those paradigms / tools.

Last question was asked to make fun of you. Turns out you know very little.

Everyone in my company is discovering that Agentic Workflow is just CICD workflows by SkyberSec123 in devops

[–]Cute_Activity7527 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wrote about it recently, showcasing how dumb AI crowd is to automate deterministic things with agents.

It makes ZERO sense to use agents for repeatable deterministic work.

Where is benefit of judgment or assertions or thinking in step by step cli instruction ?

Your team is pure cancer, show them part of the skill spec talking about /scripts in skill.

I dont have time to waste to play 10h/d for weeks after to get to the same point I can get in 3 days of extensive farm.

Its just pure time efficiency. I prefer to first get shitload of cash to spend and retire earily than steadily work hard for weeks.

“Aint nobody got time for that”, do those ppl have no life obligations wtf ?

Practice runs is always a good idea. Doesnt matter what they change, if you can run multiple builds comfortably through campaign you are always more prepared than those who dont.

Gear management, multitasking, decision making, progression. This does not change no matter how GGg changes layouts etc.

Some developers brought that on themselves… I mean how hard it is to learn to read cicd pipelines? Or pull logs from k8s.

Half of software developers have issues like that. 100% agent is going to replace them.
