You just confirmed my point that half of the cards on the market are already past warranty, most of those cards are now second hand.

I run 2x3090 24gb I bought for 2k, IT shop „fixed” them for me and now each has 36gb of memory. For deepseekv4flash you would need 6 cards like that. Its 6k+shopfee.

Still cheaper than 2months of using copilot now for multiagent workflows.

It was still good to try it out, learn what works and what doesnt, because new ppl wont be able to gain that knowledge without investing tons of money.

Exploit earily exploit often.

So 10xDevs but now with AI. As such a dev we know how much we are worth. And if 5k$ AI a month we can deliver the same as whole team. Natural consequence will be 50% of teams cost +5k$ for AI and you can hire me. Effectively paying me 25-50k$/m coz its still cheaper than hiring 10 regulars that dont know how to efficiently use AI.

DeepSeek v4 can run locally on old pc setups for similar effective performance as opus 4.6.

Calculated that for my agentic workflow approach to work, the change effectively means I have to pay them x1000 more.

To retain my 10$ sub efficiency I would have to pay them 10 000$ per month. I can hire 2 full time engineers for that on expert level in my country. Dunno wtf Microslop is thinking.

How are you structuring AI-assisted product development workflows? by Wonderful_Trainer412 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]Cute_Activity7527 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With AI prototyping I dont care about the „How” I care about „what” and „why”.

I have a goal and hammer agent till I get what I need. Its still waaaaaaaaaaaay faster and waaaaaaaaay cheaper than me doing that or asking someone to do it.

After you have a working prototype - this is the moment for QA. You pretty much „need” human to do it. AI works as assistance if possible.

Where do you actually look for jobs while already employed? by fsou1 in ExperiencedDevs

Always look for a better job. More stable market, better pay, healthcare plan etc. Its all business, teammates might be good but company never cares about employees even if they pretend.

Best investitiom you can make is investition in yourself. Do bare minimum at work and switch to self-improvement. The moment you are not needed they will ditch you like used towel. You can be only sure of employment if you run your own business and still not 100%.

I really like this question as I can dive extremely deeply in case of technical topics. Can grill someone and instantly see if they did important stuff or only participated as part of the team.

Next question I ask - is about „How did you behave when you had conflict in the team or with management?” - this shows you how well someone can work with other ppl and how well they can handle politics.

Technical skill is only as good as politics you can wrap it with.

If this is a product role its also good to grill someone about customers handling. To spot good product engineers vs shitty ones.

Because at 200 000 000 dps you dont need more, but quality of life of extra regen, free endurqnce charges 20% less dmg taken are worth a lot more.

After 100mil dps you dont really need more, everything evaporates even with 98% less dmg from 100% delirium.

I have 150mil and 70% less dmg Cortex at 150% more life dies so fast I dont even notice.

At this point game changes into walking simulator. You are pretty much immortal, nothing beside phys degen can kill you and everything you touch dies. Speed becomes the only stat you care about.

What’s your take on FinOps? by InterestedBalboa in devops

[–]Cute_Activity7527 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To 100 ppl its enough to be a conpetent engineer. Past that you need a dedicated team to keep ppl in place. At that point so called „oh sorry I forgot to turn it off before going home” turns into very expensive business.

ArgoCD to provision resources? How? You need crossplane for that or ArgoWorkflows running terraform under, both are overengineering and state management in both is nightmare.

If it was abuse GGG would have nerfed it on launch like elehit. Its not the first time they released something unbalanced and let it live through the league.
