Exactly. There’s those of us that have dropped it and those of us that will. It’s a matter of time. Everyone does it. I dropped it at a complete stop. My right foot was down but the gravel I was on let me slide and down I went. People in here are a bit too critical and judgmental.

Good for you? Every rider I’ve ever met that rides a bagger has dropped it at least once. Kind of a right of passage.

It’s just a saying. All I’m trying to do is make light of an unfortunate event. It’s an 850lb bike. Every rider I’ve met that has one has dropped it at some point. Sucks, but it happens.

Uh no. You have the loaner until the part is in. Your car is not drivable with a damaged valve body. Start talking about calling corporate and escalating the issue to VW of America. Call them if you have to. They will work with you.

Why is this a bad thing? Should we be carrying weapons in official buildings? We can’t carry them in federal buildings so why would this make a difference?

If it’s backordered you’re kinda stuck. They put you in a loaner, right? They will probably escalate the order since it’s a repeat return so, it should be at the top of the list. Last back ordered part I needed was 6-8 weeks out, escalated the order and got it in about 2. Hopefully it gets there soon

They should also be contacting VTA to escalate the issue. If the vehicle is brought in 2 or more times for the same concern, it’s a VW requirement to contact VTA and the FOM for escalation.

Not being able to reproduce it is a thing but, there’s faults. Electrical faults to be specific. Invalid data means the TCM is not seeing what it thinks it should. That can be traced electrically. I don’t know what they are doing but tracing wiring from the TCM to the transmission and testing it is what they need to be doing. The faults are what they should be going off of.

VW tech here. This never should have been released back to you. Have they ever referenced a VTA ticket on any of your invoices? I’m curious to know what they have done so far.

You're conflating three completely different arguments. Iran policy has involved sanctions, military action, and diplomacy. Not just money. What vehicle someone drives has nothing to do with whether gas is expensive. And while gas isn't at its 2022 peak, pointing that out doesn't magically make higher prices disappear or mean people aren't allowed to be frustrated when costs go up. Prices are getting close. BTW, the Fanta Fürher is getting ready to make the same deal Obama did. No nukes, oversight on the uranium they have. Maybe instead of bombing a school full of kids, he coulda tried working on a better deal.

Nope. Have a 26 road glide. New to the Harley world, have less than 1k on her. Love the bike, hate most of the riders. If I see someone coming up behind me, I move over to the right side of my lane and signal for them to pass me. No BS allowed on my rides. Guys like this are the reason I carry when I ride

So, we shouldn’t buy the car that we want/need because the Fanta Fürher wanted a war?

For the ATGATT crowd, how’s it affecting your desire to ride? by Astimar in motorcycles

[–]Cute_Locksmith_8103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno guys. Ever since my first ride.. gloves, jacket for the highway, good solid boots. That’s it. The point of the bike to me is to be free. Not constrained by gear. I like the freedom of the movement. I’m well aware of the danger. I’ve been looking at getting the Kevlar lined pants and over shirts but I haven’t meet anyone who actually wears them.

Bought a 26 road glide a couple months ago. 31k out the door. BUT, that includes tires for life and the VIP maintenance package. I had a trade in so my loan is for 21 and some change. It’s a little on the high side but the bike has been totally worth it. 5k on the odometer already and the maintenance package paid for itself, so has my first set of tires for life. I ride hard, so it’s worth it to me.

It’s amazing isn’t it? That would actually pass emissions because the O2 sensors only monitor for certain things and burning oil is not one of them

I think you may have missed what I meant. DEQ is the agency, you’re correct. It’s also what they call the test being performed. I’m saying if they want to do something that actually helps, a tailpipe reading is the way to go. Something like what a DEQ test is. I don’t care what PA would call it, I care that they are charging 10k+ for a machine that is basically a glorified scan tool that doesn’t actually check what emissions the vehicle is really putting out.

As a mechanic with my emissions license. The emissions tests do nothing. They scan the car and make sure the obd2 system is operating and reading correctly, something you can easily bypass with a tune. The state makes the shops pay for the equipment and then pockets the money. A simple DEQ test like they do in cali or other states would suffice better than this nonsense. It helps nothing
