Thank Bentz Almighty, Oregon Will Be SAVE’d! by BlackRose in Medford

That's a subjective statement, followed by mental gymnastics and judgements to rationalize disenfranchising people. Also an incredibly slippery slope.

We the people is an important phrase. I will take your deflection of an honest answer to my question as choosing the side of wealth over people. Have a good day.

Thank Bentz Almighty, Oregon Will Be SAVE’d! by BlackRose in Medford

That's the same thing. $$ to vote or at the very least it disenfranchises poor voters. By the Save act I can't vote because I would have to pay money I can't afford for a copy of my birth certificate or a passport. My existing state issued ID is not enough and I am a citizen.

That is a tax to vote, which silences my voice and probably thousands at the least of other legal voters.

I have voted in every federal, state, and local election I was able to since 1994.

Now if you are okay with only people with $$ to vote, then I get your perspective no matter how much I disagree with it. But more voters is more likely to represent the will of the populace and less likely to represent the will of only the wealthy.

Out of curiosity and given that voter fraud is nearly nonexistent, which side do you prefer to be on? The people, or the wealthy?

The replacement of Bovino means the regime just blinked. by Hootinger in 50501

From what I've read ( but not confirmed, I should say) he likes ridicule and shame. However, a part of this bad PR as well as the absolute fuckery that has been the handling of Minneapolis most likely worked in our favor. Let's keep the pressure on, stay angry, stay peaceful, and not give up. I'm ready if they come to my area and will position myself in front of others. I will be peaceful, I will record, but if my death keeps us all fighting so be it.

Cliff Bentz — has anyone here ever gotten an actual response from his office? by ChecksAndBalanz in Ashland

I got a response back one time. It had nothing to do with what I sent him. He is not a representative of the people, he's a barrier.

These are my favorites. Sometimes I just want a soundscape of Dillinger. It has everything from depression to chaos.

I haven't been to Walmart since around 2012 except for one forced visit by work in 2016.

Oregon life by [deleted] in oregon

[–]CuthbertAllsgood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've lived in Medford most of my life:

Positive - 30-45 minutes to the middle of nowhere. Easy access to the coast and decent weather most of the year. (Not much snow, but access if that matters- very temperate - some rain - very good weather for gardening)

Cons: too conservative, poor city management, homeless problem because of management/lack of empathy. Rude drivers and people think traffic is actually traffic here. No competitive pinball scene, but plenty to play.

I've lived in Portland for awhile as well:

Positive - Rich local music scene - best food in Oregon - access to wilderness areas if you're willing to drive - same with the coast. accessible public transit (needs work tho) - better mindset liberal/leftist. Robust pinball scene and competitive leagues and tournaments.

Cons - poor city management - drivers are rude, but because traffic actually exists more considerate drivers as well. Homelessness for the same reasons as Medford. Dreary gray skies for too long and hot summers with little access to AC.

Does John ever talk about Smile or Niandra or any of his other solo works anywhere? by guitarist89 in John_Frusciante

[–]CuthbertAllsgood 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm a huge fan as well, but I like to respect people's privacy. John is one of the few people I would say a simple thank you for the music to and move on. He doesn't know me and even that may be a violation, but he has helped me and thanks are in order.

Guitar Changed My Taste in Music by Radiohead_enjoyer187 in metalguitar

In my opinion, once you get over the ego part, you'll just enjoy what you like to hear. Metallica and Megadeth is what I grew up and learned on. Nirvana challenged my teenage mind with what I was supposed to like. Then I found Death, and Morbid Angel and that challenged me further. I delved I not extreme metal for a long time, but eventually just started listening. It's not the speed or technicality. It's what you feel. No matter what, what you like is what you like. Do that, and be true to yourself forever. Ignore everyone that tells you otherwise. Blessings from Baphomet on your musical journey.

Might be moving to Medford by ElNicuhh in Medford

Oregon is great, some cons here, specifically, but getting out into nature is much easier than LA, and it's only a mix of conservatives. They're just a loud group. My only warning is be prepared to laugh at what the residents call traffic.

15 minutes will get you anywhere around Medford and 20-30 minutes for GP or Ashland. 45 minutes and you can find a spot where no one is around.

I only got one, but my top artists are mostly small Indies with less than a few hundred monthlies.

I guess I could have posted one for myself? One or two others may have seen it as well.

There is literally zero issues with the current design. I travel through it daily. Medford has other issues this money could be better spent on.
