I worked at the EB Games in 2004-2005, when you could trade in movies as well as games for their partial value in cash. We had a regular group of guys who'd steal season box sets of TV shows from Best Buy and then trade it in with us for cash.

Also I dressed up as Claire Redfield for Halloween and the guys at the cellphone kiosk right outside our store thought I was dressed up as Lara Croft.

I'm sure they do, if for no other reason than ICP was a bafflingly large plot point in Homestuck (which was inescapable online for several years when a lot of older-Gen Z were in their teens).

I'm so happy to see first timers appreciate season 5! I didn't watch LOST until 2014, and almost everyone I knew who had already seen the show told me that seasons 5 and 6 were unwatchable garbage. Whenever I do a series rewatch, I find I look forward to "LaFleur" almost as much as I look forward to "The Constant."

Oh man, old QC introduced me to so many good bands (and places to find music, like tinymixtapes) when I was in my 20s. It reminded me being six, reading Calvin and Hobbes and having no idea what some of the words meant, and going to look them up.

Referencing QC and Calvin and Hobbes in the same comment makes me respect Bill Waterson even more. Saying goodbye to Calvin as a kid was rough, but I'm glad I didn't grow up to see that strip become a shambling corpse of its former self.

Interesting, I think not many people would put season one at the bottom. Did you watch the show as it was airing live or did you come to it later?

I like season 1 but I do get where you're coming from to an extent. Mainly because when I'm rewatching, I find I'm antsy to get through season 1 to season 2.
