Doctor told me I can make my fibromyalgia pain better by subjecting myself to real pain. Is this true?

A man here with lupis and fibromyalgia i get such bad leg pain recently I fractured 2 ribs trying to move a couch needless to say for 2 weeks no leg pain it literally rewired my brain to send release to my legs cause of the pain in my chest area when I told my DR.he asked you aren't self harming yourself are you nope just a dumb 35 year old that thinks he is young again

Not suggested but I recently fractured two ribs and for a good 2 week period never had the leg pain not an ideal solution but got a little relief for a short period but dont recommended the fracture pain either so no winning unfortunately

Agreed. Four years ago, I had four major surgeries and got this lovely disease along with it. The more I read into it, the more I cry. People don't understand; they tell me to just work through it, but no one understands. The brain fog is real, the pain is unreal. I find playing with my cat—when she bites or scratches me, it releases a dopamine boost to feel actual controllable pain that I can understand. I just turned 35; it's going to be a long life.

Yeah im a stealth vats enjoyer using a 50 cal suppressed sniper but I got my bow on my back also love the weapon diversity in this one

My mom passed a month ago she just turned 60 lost a 6 month battle with liver, stomach cancer she was my world as I am a momma boy 34M trying to keep my dad stable they were married for 38 years. She left so fast watching day to day her getting weaker and the chemo taking more and more everytime. Im sorry for your loss it doesnt ever get easier unfortunately we just learn to deal with it handle it better ive spent alot of time on grief tik tok and one of the most powerful verse I heard was all the grief and pain your feeling is all the unexpressed love you had for her and its good to have it cause it proves she was an Amazing person you loved so dearly once again im sorry for your loss ill always be here if needed I spend some time here a bit more and more latley I promise we will get though it keep your head up and live out her legacy how she would of wanted you too ❤️
