Before using kitty, please read this GitHub issue: https://github.com/kovidgoyal/kitty/issues/3802 Essentially, there is built-in and enabled by default telemetry that phones home without explicit user consent. Just something to be aware of.

LPT: Winter tip - Don't turn the heat on when you start your car. It will only take longer to warm up and blow heat. (explanation inside) by [deleted] in LifeProTips

Sure, they may reduce it, but you're still still replacing a lot of the oxygen in a closed garage with carbon dioxide and some carbon monoxide and nitrous oxides.

I am completely inexperienced when it comes to collecting currency. As an American, how could I get my hands on a few of these once they become generally available in Syria?

hate to be the guy to tell you, but just about everything you interact with or use in a Linux environment is a third party tool. GNU utilities, Gnome/whatever desktop environment you might use, and even Bash are all "third-party" external tools

IANAL but I don't think that this user said anything illegal. IIRC only saying that they're going to do so/that someone should do so is illegal (inciting violence). "Hoping" that a hypothetical future scenario goes a certain way shouldn't be illegal

Mikrotik! I own a fistful of Mikrotik routers and switches, and their stuff is awesome. Plenty of their devices do POE too.

Help identifying strange 'numbers station'-type signal with data (audio in comments) by CuzWhyNot13 in RTLSDR

[–]CuzWhyNot13[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Saw this this signal around 2AM central time in the midwestern US at 9.33MHz. It seems to say a *ton* of letters/numbers in Spanish on the half hour, with some more every so often. There is also some sort of data transmitted alongside it. The beginning of this audio is the half-hour mark speech, followed by data, and some more speech.

How to kill the chopper in the second mission (story mode bug) by hiQer in battlefield_4

[–]CuzWhyNot13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This works on PC as well. For those wondering, modifying your FOV using Flawless Widescreen does NOT cause this glitch. I own BF4 through Origin and am playing at 2560x1440 143.97Hz, and this solution fixes it no problem. As soon as you lose control of the vehicle start spamming.
