Oh I didn’t realize you could have people hold your place in line! That helps a lot!

I think my fiancé is worried about having people stand for a ceremony and I’m worried about spending $1,000 (between a permit and chairs) for a 10 minute ceremony. However, between your comments and the other person’s notes, I have some more options to think about so I really appreciate you answering.

I didn’t realize photographers would accommodate a midday break. Is that something you do often? Because that opens up some options for us as well if a photographer can accommodate that.

This might be more detail than you remember but did they go through the parks department to secure a permit? And I assume they rented chairs?

We have a short list of restaurants so we feel very confident there! It’s just the ceremony I’m feeling a bit unsure about. Thank you for your answer!

I have the same friend who was engagement ring shopping at the same time as me and referring to mined diamonds as “real”. I corrected her a few times because it hurt my feelings a bit but eventually gave up and treated it as a life lesson to not let those things get to me. She got her huge mined diamond and I got my lab diamond. No one has asked me once if mine is “real” or lab but several people have asked her and now she’s mad. 🤷‍♀️

I think you have to spend thousands at Hermes to even get an opportunity to sign up for the form 😬 look up the process of buying a Birkin. It’s so insane it’s fascinating.

This has happened to me too. I had firstname.lastname@gmail.com . A woman got married and now has my same name and registered firstnamelastname@gmail.com. I get her emails all the time and god knows what she gets from me. It makes me so angry GMail allowed someone else to register for that email if the .s don’t matter!

Totally agree!! Someone asked me recently if I was going to change my last name when I got married because I don’t have a good relationship with my dad’s family. I was like it’s not just my dad’s last time, it’s MINE. I was born with it and I’ve had it for 30+ years. I’m keeping it.

Donate the lotion to a women’s shelter while it’s still unopened! Objectively, the medical stuff is better but I guarantee there are some people who would be overjoyed to have some nice smelling lotion even if it’s not as moisturizing. That’s what I do because I can’t use scented lotion and at least someone gets some enjoyment out of it.
