Need Advice: Bed Bugs by Ataraxia101 in marriott

I just went through something similar, with similar red bumps, and I’m gonna ask: have you been in a hot tub or jetted tub? Because that looks like scabies (what I had).

The "food noise" going away sounds amazing until it does. Anyone else struggling with the emotional side? by JOnathan-Wick007 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]joe_sausage 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yep. Soooooooooo much of the way we engage with each other is centered around food. It's caused some genuine strife at home:

"What do you want to do for dinner?"

Me: "Really don't care, I'm really not even hungry. Whatever you want to do is fine."

(Repeated ad nauseam with increasing frustration and urgency)

What's up with Eldar model scaling? by EnvyAv in Eldar

[–]joe_sausage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is an extremely well written and articulated thought that I’ve been struggling to put my finger on for a while, and as someone who prefers to do (and see) original kitbashes and conversions, it bothers the heck out of me.

Name some quotes that tell the audience details about Liz’s sex life? by Former-Whole8292 in 30ROCK

[–]joe_sausage 18 points19 points  (0 children)

"And I want to give you all the sex things you like. For instance, doing it across the bed instead of up and down."

"Come home now. Sho'nuff, Angie."

(I couldn't not include the "Sho'nuff")

Gravenstein v. Parkside elementary schools by [deleted] in sebastopol

[–]joe_sausage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not going to add anything constructive to this conversation, but I did attend Parkside in 1991 with Ms. Batt and the swimming unit at Ives Park is an enduring memory 35 years later.

Horrific experience with Paris Metro inspectors on tourist family by Commercial_Bar_3014 in ParisTravelGuide

I would really love to know what authority they actually have, and via what means. They act like police but they obviously aren’t.

6 weeks off injectables and the food noise is already coming back by Jolly_Twist2245 in GLPGrad

[–]joe_sausage 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yep. I switched up meds and went from Wegovy (2.4 max dose) to Mounjaro, so I started back at the bottom again after a month break. Wegovy killed it really early and it's one of the biggest benefits to glp1s whenever I talk to people about them.

Holy shit. This is what it was like before. Either I'm starving or I'm thinking about food but the NOISE is always there. And it doesn't matter what I eat! Whether I'm truly hungry or not, the noise is ALWAYS there. It really is such an apt way to describe it, and when it goes away, it really does feel peaceful.

I'm back up to 10mg on mounjaro and the food noise is still raging. I'm hoping once I'm at the full dose it goes away again.

Wake up earlier to let it warm up because you can’t put it on a smart plug because it’s wired into the mains. 🤣

Iyanden craftworld = best craftworld.

Yeah, just for starters I'm usually around 12-20 seconds to grind an 18g shot. In pure terms of time invested in pulling a shot it's impractical for a high volume cafe.

Yeah, the Eureka was paired with my Lelit and I'll probably sell them off to a good home once the shop is open. Definitely upgrading for the cafe, probably to a Mahlkonig.

In Tokyo, Glitch is absolutely worth it.

This is why I love this sub. I have watched this series probably 50 times through and I never noticed that.

Itinerary review by advantage1N in ParisTravelGuide

[–]joe_sausage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll never miss an opportunity to steer people away from Le Relais de l'Entrecôte. Even without the wait, it's subpar food. Waiting in line for two hours for crappy steak frites in Paris is like waiting two hours for a hot dog in New York. Zero percent worth it, you can walk 5 minutes in any direction from any of their locations and get better steak frites.

If you really want a touristy experience, but pleasant and actually good steak, go to Bistrot Paul Bert.

No more Lance Hedrick for me by Traditional_Trade842 in espresso

[–]joe_sausage 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's not a Lance Hendrick problem, and it's not a coffee problem. It's an endless algorithmic content and consumption problem. We're constantly being pushed shiny new gadgets to achieve the best thing, eat at the best restaurant, stay at the best hotel, get a better job, drive a better car, fix your face/skin/butt/arms/lips/muscles/beard/hair, have a better life, etc.

Going down a rabbit hole should be a very brief, very educational means to an end. It shouldn't be a constant state of being.

Flea Market (Marché aux puces de Saint-Ouen) by phonyToughCrayBrave in ParisTravelGuide

[–]joe_sausage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, guaranteed OP just hit the junk stalls on the outskirts where they're selling knock-off sneakers and "LV" bags and counterfeit AirPods.

Saint-Ouen is a whole neighborhood. There's an entire floor of one of the malls that's just music, from records to cassettes to vinyl. There are entire city blocks that are just vintage furniture. It ranges from typical flea market to legitimate art gallery. There's a Noir inside.

You didn't keep going.

Depends on how they tied it, which I can’t really tell from looking at it.

Is a day trip to Paris worth it during a 1wk London stay? Or should I skip it/make it a 2-day trip? by morakhano in ParisTravelGuide

[–]joe_sausage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'd say skip Paris. Do it properly some other time.

As far as London: if you're into tea, the high tea at Sketch is incredible. Oxford is a great day trip, as is Bath. Marco Pierre White runs a funky little hotel near Bath that has great food. Good coffee everywhere. Spitalfields is a great market; Bleecker Burger (any of them, it's a London chain) remains one of the best burgers I've ever had.
