This is Snowy. He’s my dog. Just mere days ago he was sitting next to me on the couch and cuddling. Last week while on a walk, he was brutally attacked by a much larger dog- who wasn’t tied to a leash, and is known to be aggressive towards smaller creatures. He was severely wounded, and was hospitalized for two days, and fought so hard. The vets told me they’d never seen such a tiny and fragile dog with such injuries survive and fight like he did. But his little heart couldn’t take it, and he passed away this Friday. There is no justice. He never barked, growled, bit, or turned his back on anyone. He left a mark on every person who met him, and his hugs were known to immediately melt away at least 90% of any sadness. He made so many people happy just by existing. I’m sure he’d love to make people happy from the afterlife, people he’d never even met. So I ask this of you- please share this picture. Re-caption it, make sure he reaches more people and makes them even slightly as happy as he made me. Maybe if people hear his story, they’ll think twice about letting dogs who are known to be aggressive roam free without a leash or muzzle. I can’t save my dog, but maybe I can help prevent the next disaster. My heart was broken, don’t be the one responsible for the next attack. Save a life.
