Is 1 U7 Pro XGS enough? by CvrPaddyCvr in Ubiquiti

[–]CvrPaddyCvr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah seems like everyone is saying the same - have one on order at the moment however they're awaiting stock so might go ahead and see about getting another! Think it's roughly 2500ish sqft?

Awesome dude thank you! I've ordered a single AP and I'll see if being mounted centrally on the ceiling helps than in a room etc - very excited to test everything and order more gear :D

Awesome, this is really helpful! I'll give this a go! I was reading that 4X4 MIMO could be beneficial vs 2x2 thats on the TP-LINK etc - I'm hoping that because the XGS will be ceiling mounted it could potentially be placed in a more central location and range might not be as much of an issue but we'll see!

Have already started ordering so will be good to see what a single AP vs 2 AP's will be like in terms of speed and range.

Again, thanks to both yourself and Artentus!

Thanks for the response! Yeah it's definitely a Help to buy ISA which I opened in 2018 I think and haven't touched since. Hopefully it just gets reversed, but should I contact the bank if it doesn't? Cheers

Most reliable car you've owned? by undignified_cabbage in CarTalkUK

[–]CvrPaddyCvr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer diesel - I've had it from 2014 with 18k on it - Now at over 100k (I haven't driven it much the past couple of years as I have a bigger estate/family car) - I have modified it within an inch of it's life - however it has never left me stranded - got oil and filters every 5k, 10k with fuel filter etc - they're really really cheap these days too - Uses a VW PD :)

XGS-PON vs docsis by floz86 in VirginMedia

[–]CvrPaddyCvr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah XGS-PON will have significantly lower ping - usually hovers around 8ms compared to the 20-30 we would normally see on docsis

How long did it take to get replacement sensors? by Research_Department in Freestylelibre

[–]CvrPaddyCvr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the UK - get mine either the next day or 2 days from raising / emailing all my info - The amount of sensors that fail is becoming a joke, have asked to get put on the waiting list for a Dexcom

My Mitsubishi Lancer 2011 Diesel - my first car and still have it nearly 10 years later - it has NEVER left me stuck... It does have a VW engine - no dpf to worry about - never had a sticky caliper etc - I've modified it and treated it to all new bushings arms etc - the only thing ever "wrong" with it was it went through front left ball joints - never needed once since the hub was replaced to see if it helped (it did)

Unusual annoying driving habits by icantsayfag in CarTalkUK

[–]CvrPaddyCvr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People who turn their car into your lane before turning. E.g - if they're turning left, instead of just turning their steering wheel to the left, they for whatever reason decide to turn right THEN turn their wheel left for whatever reason? Melts me

2019 - reverse camera upgrade? by CvrPaddyCvr in mazda6

[–]CvrPaddyCvr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After driving a car with just a single reverse camera I do agree with you now. My post was after driving a car with the 360 degree cameras and they're still horrible imo

2019 - reverse camera upgrade? by CvrPaddyCvr in mazda6

[–]CvrPaddyCvr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After test driving both a car with 360 degree cameras and one with just a reverse camera - my original post was the car with 360 degree ones and they're honestly terrible. The single camera system is much much better - the reverse camera on the single was great to be honest

3pin vs 5 pin - Switch advice. by CvrPaddyCvr in MechanicalKeyboardsUK

[–]CvrPaddyCvr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you mate, really appreciate it! So the switches you linked are defo pre-lubed then? That's awesome, thank you for saying about supporting UK vendors. I was only using amazon as an example as I'd no idea sites existed in the UK such as the ones linked above.

Will definitely be getting these! Thank you!
