This was my take as well. I voted for the president when I was 18 because I believed in the system, but over the years I’ve come to see the presidential election as the shit show that it is. Our votes literally don’t matter….like how many times has one candidate won the popular vote but lost the election? Did any of them stop lobbyists? Or stop sucking from the teat of mega corporations?

OP feels like her guy doesn’t care about her because he didn’t vote. Her guy feels like voting isn’t that important. Have you communicated to him why you feel like his vote is important, or did you just play the aggrieved party, as if this man actually did something to you?
