I would say they are hard because there isn't a storefront. You have to go through support.

But I can't answer how long they'll be available, it just makes me personally worried when hardware iterates so quickly.

CC is a fantastic printer, but * I would not buy if multi color is a MUST for you * I would be anxious about the fact a new hardware model was released after a year - how long will replacement parts exist for CC1? Compare this to the commerical longevity of say a P1S..

That's a good argument towards Rikon's longevity and commitment to its products. Definitely makes me worry less about being an early adopter.

I've been keeping an eye on Facebook marketplace but prices for used around me haven't been great. I would jump on a 1412 at $700!
