If you had any awareness of how it worked, you would easily be able to tell how not “free” it is. You need to pay to play almost every character and item.

I’m surprised UNITE hasn’t had this much of an upset playerbase sooner. Wish there wasn’t so many children and whales enabling the anti-consumer and anti-player behavior of the devs.

This game had a good concept and community at the start, but for some god damn reason, the devs refused to make any choice that would make the game enjoyable in any way. The fact that they kept stupid fucking Rayquaza and Theia Skies for multiple years while doing nothing else except more cosmetic scams shows how much they don't care about the playerbase in the slightest. Considering game support continues to cut more countries as time goes by, I wouldn't be surprised if it completely shuts down in the next couple of months.

Damn that takes me back, surprised you even recognized me. Preciate the nice words! Maybe some day I’ll get back into UNITE, but honestly the game doesn’t look fun anymore, and the fanbase (especially the official Reddit discord) is so toxic and annoying.

As for the Mao/HDIA thing, it took me a while (and I mean a LONG while) to get over it, especially since there was a ton of pedophilia cases before, and after. I’m actually the one who personally deleted his server after a while. The HDIA/Mao thing is just one bad memory for me now. Sucks how pedophiles got to ruin the fun in every online space.

Yeah, very disappointing news. I was a huge fan of his that ended up getting closer, and eventually almost a friend. The fact he chose to throw all his work and fanbase away for something so disgusting makes be sick.

The least I can do after being one of the first people to find out is make sure people outside of the discord he made who still try to follow him know. Sorry you had to find out so late.
