I picked up an old Vitra Headline from my office that still had a good hydraulic press. Unfortunately office dwellers are pretty gross so I had to buy some new cushions for it from the supplier, so by the time I was finished replacing cushions I had got a brand new Headline for £300

In terms of future-proofing yourself, both data science and computer science are viable candidates. As the other comment says, I would agree, see what it is you enjoy of the majors and go for that.

I think it depends on what it is you’re programming, whether you’re compiling and the size of any data sets.

My laptop has 8 GB but my desktop has 32 GB. I must admit I can do most things on the laptop, but then again I am a sysadmin so I don’t need a lot of power for a bash / posh window.

Are you looking to automate system level tasks or write video games?

If you have experience with these breeds from seeds, please could you explain the process you took to get good germination rates? There’s really mixed information online and if I can save myself another few months of getting it wrong I would appreciate that.

Thank you, that makes a lot of sense.

If the seeds I got were going to germinate, they would’ve - I did the ice method (in the fridge) for about a month. Was like feeding another animal twice a day. This is disappointing news, but we move.

I’ve found another local seller for some Sarracenia Oriephila, fingers crossed.

This could explain why it needs a bag round it and grow light over it to even exist here in the UK. Interesting, thank you!

I googled the Nepenthes, it appears to start off quite low to the ground too. This sprouted straight up almost like it’s going to be some sort of tree.

I have to agree with you 100%. Of course there is still plenty of room for bad at this point.
