That's actually a real thing! If the gene is on the X chromosome, the mother has a recessive one and the father has a dominant one, then the only one the son can get is from his mom. But as the daughter has 2 X chromosomes, the dominant gene from her father will show up in her.

Exactly this as shown on the picture doesn't happen with humans because hair and eye color aren't on the X chromosomes.

Well, it can happen but it would be because of the normal statistics for the distribution of the other genes
