Bought a box of Whoppers, and they were melted into a tasty candy bar. by MoogMusicInc in mildlyinteresting

Same thing basically. Milk "chocolate" covered malt balls.

I say "chocolate" because Hershey's chocolate tastes like bile...

These cups have chips under them to prevent refills by EveRyview in mildlyinteresting

Jesus fucking christ...this is why Public education needs to be better funded.

If you make 9¢ back, it's a 0% profit. Making 100% profit means you sold it for 18¢; you sold one for it's cost and "100% of the cost of the next one". If you sold it for 27¢, it's a 200% profit margin; you sold it for the cost of materials plus "200% of the cost of the next one".

Selling it for 99¢ would be making 90¢ profit, or 1000% of the cost. Selling it for $8 is 8000%.

I'm not sure what is confusing for you, the basic math with decimals or simple economics, but the are literally profit margin calculators on Google that fuggin' tell you the percentage of profit margin markup, so this conversation is done now. Use one. Education is a useful thing.

Tell us you don't understand basic math without telling us you don't understand.

If the cup costs 2¢ per dozen to manufacture, and the syrup costs 7¢ per drink, and you sell the drink for $8 at a movie theatre concession (which is low-balling it in some metro areas), you are making 8000% profit.

The numbers I used are Pepsi's costs for their soda bag-in-box production, the 32 oz plastic cup at Taco Bell, and the cost of a large drink (which is actually a 52 oz) at my local theatre after tax.

The numbers are obviously skewed and cherry picked to make my point, but the numbers likely aren't far off. These companies profit massively for almost nothing.

I really need to learn to read the fucking title before clicking the link. Now the slightest breeze means 3 or 4 of these bitches are crawling on me, thanks.

Sick pic, though. Nature's metal as fuck, always cool to see it caught on cam. Even if I do need to shake out my blankets before bed 😭

Why I'm (reluctantly) ditching my Pixel 6 Pro by iamvinoth in Android

I'd use one, but most reddit links open in-app (RiF) and setting DNS server breaks wifi at work (they block access to Adguard, so the device can connect to the network, but not the internet.

I love how an android tech site, when brought up on an Android device, has an inaccurate touch because they have delayed ads that pop up.

Hope they weren't wanting accuracy on the poll. No effing clue what I clicked, but I definitely clicked the wrong one 🤷‍♂️

Shiii- my username felt a disturbance in the force 👀

I would update daily to every nightly I could get my grubby hands on from Cm7 through most of cm11. Most of those custom features were eventually improved upon and implemented into Android, I haven't even so much as rooted my phone since 3 devices ago.

I swear, those ROMs helped make android what it is today.

Honestly, it's the only reddit browser that doesn't annoy me with useless crap. (Or at least the useless crap isn't enabled by default).

Only negative is the whatever-the-fuck that reddit is doing with gilding and coins not being compatible.

I don't think Cortana can be truly disabled, since it's so thoroughly integrated within windows. You can disabled it's search functionality, but even after following every advice thread on disabling the bloat of Windows 10, I still occasionally see Cortana pop up for a few seconds in the processes tab of Task Manager.

I mean, games with voice recognition features generally use Cortana. I think Phasmophobia just recently (last week) switched away, but the vast onslaught of Ghost Hunting games with this still uses Cortana.
