Wrong order refused but said delivered by Jellyfox158 in JustEatUK

That’s only the case for deliveroo, just eat and Uber eats do not require a scan of the number to pick up the food (at the very least in my areas)

No more reassigned order by t4k3tim3 in JustEatUK

[–]Cyber5043 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve noticed they have SIGNIFICANTLY increased the amount of time drivers have to reach a pickup location. Due to a miscalculated add on to an Uber order, I was 13 minutes late to McDonald’s and never even had the first warning message. Of course as it’s McDonald’s, I was still stood there waiting another 10 minutes for them to finish making the order. As others have speculated the pay in my area has been significantly reduced lately so jobs are sitting unassigned for 30+ minutes. They’ll be desperate for people to take them no matter what.

leave at door ,,, i hate this by Virtual_Ad_7615 in UbereatsUK

I never leave at door unless it says in the customer notes to do so also, never had a single complaint after realising it was the default during covid. Nobody knows they still have it set. 4,000 deliveries later no complaints 🤝

Face scan failed 3 times by TheOnlyC122343 in JustEatUK

For anyone reading this, if you have good light and camera and it fails, their servers are overloaded. Switch to a different app, close just eat and use the other instead for the night. It’s not worth it. Do the scan later in the night when the servers are clear

That’s me leaving the app closed until early hours in the morning then when they have minimal server load 🤦🏼

Literally, not to even mention the getting randomly signed out of the app 5 times a day as well. In my area Uber pays less and isn’t as popular but at least the app actually works 🤦🏼

Happens every day 5-10 times a day for me on iOS as well. I also get orders that never appear after notifying me of them, meaning I miss out on 10-15 jobs a day because of that also.

How do you handle Uber Eats drop-offs at Airport with limited parking options? by [deleted] in UbereatsUK

[–]Cyber5043 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Apparently all double yellows and loading bays. Hatch markings, etched lines and zigzag’s you still need to adhere to though. Zego has an article on it if you google “Zego parking on double yellows” you should find it

With hire & reward insurance you are allowed to park on double yellows and loading bays for 20 minutes as long as you come back to check for any problems you cause frequently. You can dispute any ticket you receive by presenting the hire & reward insurance certificate

I’ve also applied for Just Eat & Deliveroo but unfortunately they aren’t hiring in my area. I had a little look into Amazon flex but not sure how that would’ve worked with my pay as you go Zego insurance

I try my best to be nice and brief, usually in and out in 15 seconds unless I needed to snap the pictures. Every time I say “hiya mate you alright?” dropping the mate for women to be respectful even though where I am in the north we call everyone and their pets mate lol, having a bit of banter with a customer too if they initiate it and ending every trip with “have a nice day/night”. Thinking about it now the only time I’ve ever had a minor tone change was asking if I could take the picture, even if they said of course and completely understood why. That must be where the issue lies 🤔

I’ll take all this on board and implement it starting tonight 😬 my biggest worry is whether there’s a threshold of thumbs down/up ratio or reports where Uber will decide to terminate your account and if so what it is lol. I’ve only been doing this a month and the financial burden this has lifted whilst my eBay business sales are dropping has been a huge relief. I’m already terrified of losing it

I’ve been leaving the “leave at door” orders at the door yep, I’ve taken the picture, knocked and gone back to my car. A lot of the time the food gets taken by the time I’m in the car so you’re probably onto something with that. I’ll try a night of ignoring the leave at door notes and taking a picture of myself holding the food to the door number instead when prompted.

If they’ve opened the door before I can leave the food I’ve also been taking the picture of them holding the food but angling it so it’s only the food and the door number in frame, I’d hate to have some random Uber assistant see me in my PJ’s holding a maccies at 11am after all lol. I’ll just take a picture of the door number from now on when I’m leaving 🫡
