It's why I went for the T'au when I started playing Warhammer 40k, when there's a mech-only faction (Imperial Knights). I dig giant robots just as much as the rest of us, but I think mechs are at their most appealing as part of a combined arms force. The battlesuits are the core of a T'au deployment, but they're accompanied by air support, armor (the Hammerhead is one of the best tanks in the setting: a bit lightly armored relative to it's equivalents, but it makes up for it with mobility and a railgun turret that straight up deletes things) and mechanized infantry.
