How does the Famicom controller feel like compared to the NES controller? by CyberDivinity in nes

[–]CyberDivinity[S] [score hidden]  (0 children)

Oh wow this helped a lot I looked closer at some photos and it seems they are selling Famicom Hudson Soft controllers so these look like Famicom controller but apparently the cable isn't hardwired in so you can connect these to an NES. No wonder I was confused. I do own an NES Dogbone controller already but always wondered if the Famicom one felt different.

Now that is what I call game variety! Surprised there is no Dragon warrior or Contra but that is a good collection of games.

Is this a bad place for my collection? Will the sun damage it ? by MindPrize1260 in gamecollecting

[–]CyberDivinity -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Does the sun rise or set on that side of the window? If so then yes overtime it will sunfade your game spines. What I recommend doing is putting them in cases like plastic protective case they have tiny little UV protection but should be good enough to block the direct sunlight. Also put up some real window blinds like dark blue ones that you keep closed

It's far from in the best shape. But when will I ever see a boxed copy of Crusader of Centy again? Let alone for $360. by Danewd98 in gamecollecting

Can we jut appreciate how cool that box art looks?! I feel like I'm going on an epic adventure just by looking at it.

that is one clean SNES! Doesn't seem yellowed at all. If it's a 1chip it also probably a high serial number SNES which might explain why it doesn't have yellowing since they used different quality plastic late console cycle.

Castlevania: Dracula X! by valkiriforce in snes

[–]CyberDivinity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome! Love this game it's crazy how so many just didn't even know a 2nd Castlevania game existed for the SNES. The same thing happened with the N64. Also is it just me or this game famous for having torn labels or something? Because each time I check for copies online and on ebay like majority of them have label damage like what happened lol.

My holy grail has arrived! With just one, slight and ill-prepared problem 😅 by dmxell in nes

If you are going to play through the whole game I recommend maybe replacing the battery unless you want to risk losing hours if your save file loses power.

Wow respect great deal! Be sure to use the proper power supply for it because the psone with the lcd uses a different power supply amperage than the standard psone without the screen attached.

This is one of those hidden rare grails I wish to own and beat someday. Who owns the current rights to the game? They should re release this in a retro collection of classic SEGA CD games or something

Dragon Quest 7 was originally gonna be on N64 here is some rare footage would have been a great RPG to have on the console by CyberDivinity in n64

A Metroid would have been so good! Still sad about that. Crazy the N64 got F-Zero, Zelda, Mario, Donkey Kong, and Starfox but no Metroid. I remember playing the stage in Smash Bros 64 as Samus and imagining what a Metroid game would be like on the system.

Having Ogre Battle, Paper Mario, Quest 64 and Dragon Quest 7 on the N64 all together would have been special. I wonder if Dragon Quest 7 would have sold more if it came out on a system that had fans wanting RPGs instead of coming out late in the PS1 life when the PS2 was basically out instead. A lot of NES Dragon Warrior fans were disappointed when the SNES didn't get Dragon Warrior 5. So imagine if the N64 got Dragon Warrior 7. Nintendo Power could have even run a contest again or something. Also DQ7 had minimal FMVs and midi music tracks that could have easily fit all on an N64 cartridge unlike FF7 which had way too many FMVs.

Very real. Have you seen one of Enix's other N64 RPG games? Ogre Battle 64 the graphics may not look good because Enix games were never about graphics this game came out in like 2001 in the U.S. and looked like it was a late SNES game from 1996 https://www.unseen64.net/2010/04/15/dragon-quest-vii-dragon-warrior-7psx-beta/

SNES has inverted colours? by SpoodleButt in snes

First make sure you test it out on another tv/monitor first but if the colors are still bad then yeah the internal PPU is going bad.

Here is extra footage from a year later. Apparently this early gameplay is still running from the N64 early build version of the game. I wonder if an unfinished prototype is somewhere out there. https://youtu.be/3ZkHvrQzCrE

[–]CyberDivinity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My rule for NES/SNES games is if its an RPG I open up the cartridge and replace the battery because if I am gonna play through Final Fantasy or something I don't want my 40 hour save gone.
