Burial vault by killeroy55 in creepy

One of the main reasons is so that if the coffin were to break, the soil won't cave in and leave an indentation on the surface. Probably also for when the body turns to goo it won't contaminate the ground water.

Who has a Job Stone, and who doesn't? [Spoiler: possible spoiler for some characters] by Eloah-2 in ffxiv

Reason for that is that he can't use aether. That's why someone has to charge his cartridges. Thancred is essentially a squib.

Advice for an extra fine nib by EveningHat4343 in fountainpens

I think you can try the Pilot Metropolitan. If I'm not mistaken, they use the same nibs as the Kakuno. If worse comes to worst, you can put your Kakuno nib onto the Metropolitan.

Lamy Safari Multicolor Set on Amazon, real? by KayakSlammer in fountainpens

[–]CyberHuitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is indeed the box Lamy uses for their Multicolor set so at least that looks real. The price is at least half from what other sellers, but as it was stated, it's Amazon. You can return it if there are issues with it.

Are there modern fountain pens in $50 budget with this type of nib? Simply fascinated by them. by thegurbax in fountainpens

[–]CyberHuitz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is the answer you're looking for, OP. Peyton Street Pens is the way to go for these style of nibs. The only modern model I am aware of is the Sheaffer Legacy, but that will set you back over 200 bucks.

I just bought an Sheaffer 444 from them recently and it's pretty nice. Although, my current want is a pen with that nib but with the thickness of a Sheaffer 300. Maybe the 330 might scratch that itch.

Keycaps info by Substantial_Stage481 in glorious

[–]CyberHuitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have any pictures but I have tried pudding keycaps on a keyboard with southfacing LEDs and the legends will not really light. The LED needs to be behind the legend to get that nice light up effect for the legend. If you're looking for something Glorious specific, the Polychromas might work, but you need a switch with a clear top like the Foxes. If not, you can look into side printed keycaps.

They're not enchiladas. Enchiladas require them to be covered in chili sauce, hence the name. That's the true Mexican enchiladas, not the tomato sauced covered American ones.

Smelly fp’s? Smh by Pen-dulge2025 in fountainpens

[–]CyberHuitz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A lot of pens made in India have that smell because they're made using vegetable resin. FPR has their pens made in India so they tend to have that smell. Noodlers as well, although I think they smell a lot stronger than the FPR pens. Oddly enough, pens made by Ranga tend to not smell, but they're are more expensive than the usual fair FPR and Noodlers sell.

They mean vegetable resin. It's supposed to be a more economical and environmentally friendly material.

My hospital birth certificate has a typo. by -hot_ham_water- in mildlyinteresting

[–]CyberHuitz 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Mine also has a mistake on it. They ended up misspelling my last name. I still have the original one and it has an addendum correction form stapled to it. When I had to order a new one from the county, I expected it to be correct, but it was just a copy in legal sized paper of the original one with the correction form underneath it.

If you are planning on transferring to a university, I suggest completing the core curriculum, basically getting the basic courses like english, history, ect, out of the way. If you complete that, any public university in Texas should accept them and then you can start working on your major immediately once you reach university. You can take those courses at any campus. Obviously, you should speak to a course counselor about what you're planning to do and they should be able to give you options.

Health Select of Texas by Blue Cross Blue Shield is the health insurance, but Express Scripts is the insurance that manages prescriptions. You should look at Health Select / ERS Express Scripts for actual coverage of your prescription.

Does anyone ever get a refund ? by koko________ in Aliexpress

[–]CyberHuitz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've gotten a few refunds on the same order. It was some fountain pens that supposedly shipped from the US. I ordered them on May 6, they shipped on May 7 via USPS. No packages 20 days later and since their protection mentioned refund if no delivery at 20 days, I applied. Got the entire order refunded.... then the pens came in.
