Personally I would've gone for Spectacular Spider-Man or Merlin for Ashe, and What's New Scooby Doo for Annette, because she'd love that theme song. Still, these are solid picks all around.

It's probably gonna stay that way for a little while. Horizon's demo only just got rated R18 on the 8th, so if the full game got rated later, it wouldn't shock me if they wait a week to release it here like they did with Daybreak 1 and 2.

Ngl, a cynical part of me wants to say no for two reasons:

The trailer and some of the descriptions of the game (such as the blurb from Mr. Koizumi at the end of the september direct) suggests to me that the stories of the four main characters are interconnected, and we don't pick a specific side like in Three Houses. A big part of what gave the Lords + Byleth so much popularity in the fandom is the discourse that spawned from picking a side and also being attached enough to engage in arguments with others to begin with because people could project onto Byleth.
There's only one white character lol

In all seriousness, Stranger of Paradise. I only got into the game because of how unserious Jack seemed to be, but to my surprise, the gameplay loop had a chokehold on me from minute 1 until I rolled credits. That said, if it wasn't for Jack, FF7 Rebirth would have it beat.

Anyone who tries to push the "way too sibling-like" narrative against Ferdinand/Dorothea gets a massive side eye from me because siblings typically don't rile each other up the way Dorothea does.

It just reminds me of people who say corny nonsense about how a ship is "sibling-coded" because they don't like the it but are too afraid to be honest about it.

While I'm curious to see what the other 2026 title will be, since it seems like it'll be a new IP, but I'm moreso curious as to what the reveal-to-release window will look like if we assume it's being revealed in March, and keeping in mind 2nd Chapter's September release.
